How to install to att 2wire 2701hgb modem router

Plug power cord into back of modem and then into an electrical outlet. At this point you should see the lights on the front of the modem beginning to come on.

Check the front of the modem for a solid green DSL light. If the light is still blinking, allow a few more moments before proceeding to step 5. A blinking DSL light indicates a break in the network and will require the help of your service provider if it does not turn solid green.

Open your internet browser and type the default gateway into address bar. The default gateway will be provided by your service provider. Newer model 2Wire modems automatically direct you to the installation instructions when the browser is opened.

Click on "Run System Setup Wizard" in the lower right-hand corner. It may require the system password. This password will be provided by your service provider.

Select your timezone and click 'Next.'

Enter your ISP provided login information and click 'Next'. This should authenticate your credentials on the network and complete the installation.

How do I connect to the internet?

Hi
Use the browser applications on your phone:like Java.
In some handsets, you may need internet activation by the service provider who in this case, send you the internet settings to your phone.

Hope it helps.Thanks!

Note:I recently ran into the same issue with my phone, and it turned out to be just a setting on their end that was wrong. also some of the settings above that it shows to change if your phone doesnt have it dont stress over it, mine didnt either. but do change the ones you can if they dont match. If you still have trouble just call at&t from a diffrent phone. like i said i just had the same issue and it was a setting on their side. nothing at all i could of done about it.please rate me, and mark fixya if this was helpful.

How to configure Westell VersaLink 327W to work with ATT internet

I bought one of these wireless routers a while back and found that these can work well with At&t simply by logging into the router (192.168.1.1), creating an account with your At&t user ID and password, and enabling PPPoE with the VCI set to 8 and the VPI set to 35. Worked well for me for about two years now. Hope this helps

There is no java in the browser. Forget it. There is also no java loader so there is no downloading java games. Copying them to the SD card won't work either. No java loader so the file will be unrecognized.

Wap services like gmail, yahoo email and wap based instant messagers work fine. Make sure you have a good unlimited feature so you do not incur overages from over using your new toy.
