If this is a factory stereo with 4 holes in it, you will either need to buy a tool that is made for removal, or use four long nails and place in all holes at same time.

If this is an aftermarket cd player, there are tabs then bend up and hold it in place and you will need to use flathead screwdriver or butterknife and work your way around the trim in dash to flaten the tabs

Radio wont turn on.

Check fuse first. Then pull the radio and check power. If you have power at the plug, replace the radio. If the radio comes on(or still has a clock) and no sound, look for an amp fuse or replace the amp.

Radio has power but no sound

speakers may be disconnected behind the radio pull it out and look at the back of the radio also check for broken wires on the connector on the outside of the radio and the inside from the electrical outlet on the radio it's also possible that you blew the fuse for the power amp part of the radio you must look at your owners manual for the fuse diagram and power distribution box if you don't have it go to search 2000 ford mustang owners manual to download it free from ford and you'll have what you need also check in the trunk for a broken/disconnected power amp plug if you had a lot of stuff shoved in there that might have become disconnected or broken did it always work and then happen or has it been out since you bought the car?

02 ram 1500 pulled radio out - need to ck - found no amp -

The base model radio does not have a separate amplifier; the amplifier is part of the radio assembly. If you check 20A fuse 51 and 4.5A circuit breaker 2 in the integrated control module and you have power on the PNK and BLK /RED output leads, connect the radio and turn it on.

2002 Chrysler Town & Country antenna installation

Did the antenna break off in the mount or did the mount break. If antenna broke off in mount I would try drilling and tapping it.If you need a whole mount.Remove plug from back of radio attach good mechanics wire to it undo outer mount when you pull the wire out of the car the mechanics wire will follow afer you get it out put the mechanics wire on the new one tape over the wire to make it a smooth transition and pull mechanics wire inside the vehicle to reroute the antenna wire back to the radio.Be carefull you shouldnt have to pull super hard

I have a 2002 TT ALMS with the Bose Audi Concert radio system. After filling up I began driving away and the radio went dead - no "safe" announcement just a black screen... I checked the 15 amp fuse in the...

Yes, there is a second fuse on the back of the radio, (10A - red colour), but you have to pull the unit to check & change it. This is only course of action. You need special Audi Concert radio extracting tools, (two radio keys).

Need to know how to wire amplifier

hi hit's very easy,
1 - you need to pass a wire gage 8 from the positive pole of your batterie from the front of the car to the back and plug it in your power amp at batt+ or + or batt
2 - take and other cable gage 8 and ground it at the body of your car make sure that is no paint when you plug it and plug the other cable in your power amp at the grn plug
3 - pass a other cable gage 18 to the radio to the back or your car. plug it to the blue radio cable marcked remote or rem and p;lug the other side to your power amp to the rem pin
4 - then pass 2 rca cable from the radio to the back of your car the radio side plug it to the sub or rear output rca cable and the same thing for the power amp
5 - you sub wouffer if you have one sub plug the negative pin to the negative bridge output and positive bridge output power amp. if you have 2 speaker do the same thing but not at the bridge place

I want to get to the back of my radio to plug in amp cords.

the plastic trim that your radio sits behind will pop out, you may need to use a flathead screwdriver, once you have done this all you need to do is pull the radio out and unplug the antenna and wires, if the wires are not labeled I would label them (this will save you a lot of time if you are putting a new radio in)

I just put a new radio in my 92 900s
this is what I did I got a volt meter with an ohm meter in it , I pulled out the radio and the radio cradel pulled the plugs off the back of the cradel, there are 2 major plugs you need 1 is for the power and the other is for the 2 front speakers, I think there is a amp someplace for the rear speakers but I couldn't find it so I just ran 2 new wires to the rear speakers the power plug has a red and I think pinkish colors the other plug is to the 2 front spakers, on the power plug you have a constant hot that is the pinkish wire, the red wire goes on and off with the key and the orange is for the power ant and I think the white is for the dimmer lites for the radio, hope this helps If you want you can email me at
