Question about JVC HD-52G886 52" Rear Projection HDTV
It might look like something was thrown at it. the artifacts are about 5 inches high and about 10 in ches wide and appear with peaks at the top
Have you tried cleaning the projection bulb. You open the side panel on the left hand side then take a electronics aresol dust cleaning can (like you clean computers with) then you spray it at the light bulb. If that's not it don't worry you won't do any harm to it.

I believe those objects are really black, and always there, Maybe they are no so big as they look, but the projection make them looks that big. some times the plastic use in the manufacturing is not cleaned and those plastics felt in the lenses, being positive. an expert can decide if it is just and object or anything else.
