Your Ink absorber maybe Flooded with waste ink coz you reset the counter withouh change ink absorber..and the second problem is your ink leak inside? you need to disasemble to check the ink carriage tube..sometime it maybe broke coz generic ink sometime it hard to put it in the ink carriage and have using some force to get it in ....Importent is clear all the waste ink first coz scare it will spray to other part of the printer...

I would reccomend only using brother cartridges and not refilling them yourself as they can leak and therefore not be worth the money you save.

Ink absorber full

This video shows you how to reset the counter so your printer will work again. However, it doesn't solve the problem of your absorber being full of waste ink. I recommend placing the printer on a towel in the event that the absorber overflows. This will avoid ruining the table your printer is sitting on.

Here is the parts list if you wish to order the pad. It will take most of an afternoon and be very messy. Not for the novice. Your best bet is to reset the printer and use it until ink physically leaks out of the machine - then replace it.

If you do fix it yourself. You will need the following:

I have no experience with this vendor. It's just the first one that came up in Google that wasn't in the UK.

Description of Problem 100000013725
The ink is leaking out of the cartridge or ink leaked inside my machine.what should I do?

Description of Solution 200000017618
Brother strongly recommends that customers do not use generic ink or refill their Brother ink cartridges. Using non-Brother supplies may affect the hardware performance, print quality and machine reliability since the ink formulation in genuine Brother ink cartridges prevent smearing and clogging of the print head. The Brother limited warranty does not apply to any problem that was caused by the use of unauthorizedthird party ink and/or cartridges.

If the ink cartridge is new and has not been installed into the machine, please do not install the ink cartridge. Place the ink cartridge back into the ink cartridge packaging and call the Brother Customer Service Department at 1-800-284-4329 for assistance.

If the ink cartridge has been installed into the machine and ink has leaked inside the machine, do not remove the ink cartridge from the machine.

Please contact Brother Customer Service at 1-877-Brother (1-877-276-8437) Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 7:00pm EST, excluding holidays.

My brother dcp8065dn laser printer seems to be leaking ink and leaves a line and dots of ink on the paper

The problem is coming from drum unit . Clean the OPC of your drum and doctor blade (it is a brash which is situated upper side of the opc) and clean the corona wire to solve the problem.

How do I refill my ink cartridges?

If you bought an ink refill kit, then there should be a bellows with a fine needle tip filled with ink and a rubber stopper. There should have been instructions included with the kit.
If you only bought the bellows and there's no instructions or rubber stopper, then I'm afraid you are missing some pieces. You need more than just the ink to refill the cartridges correctly, or else they will leak all over the inside of the printer.

Mfc 440 cn brother printer does not recognize the cartridge

This is crazy.... It is probably a faulty cartridge, ink jet unit stopped up, or a cable that could be loose in the machine from the main board to the cartridge unit. There is a possiblility that the board could be bad too... This units are made so cheap so that you will buy them and then they charge you alot of money for the ink cartridges. You get disgusted with it and buy another one and that is how they make their money. It is just a revolving cycle all the time with Brother, HP, Canon, Okidata, and Lexmark too...

Cartridge? problem

If you are using or have used third party generic ink cartridges or refilled ink cartridges, the Cartridge Sensor printed circuit board may have been damaged. We have found that some third party generic ink cartridges leak onto the ink cartridge sensor circuit board causing an electrical short of the ink cartridge sensors. The damage from the leaked ink results in the machine displaying NO CARTRIDGE because the machine will no longer recognize the installed ink cartridge(s). Genuine Brother ink cartridges do not cause this issue because of the unique design developed to fit specifically in the Brother products. As long as a Brother cartridge has not been refilled, the Brother cartridge will not leak.

Brother mfc -3240c unit

Hi I have a similar problem with a DPC-111c brother printer. The clear plastic you mention if underneath the cartridge cradle it is designed to act as a canals to feed the print head.

Once damaged... the canals are no longer canals and leak everywhere if this is your case then sorry but your printer is FINISHED !!! Time to buy a new one!

Cartridge not detected

This problem seems to be caused by the gray horseshoe-shaped sensor behind the cartridges. I tried cleaning them with a cotton swab, and found that the "No Cartridge" message turned off when the swab was in the sensor.

So if you put something (like a tiny piece of cotton) in the cavity about halfway up the cartridge (so that it takes up space in the sensor when you replace the cartridge), you can trick the sensor into thinking the cartridge is there.
If it doesnt work the first time, try rearranging the cotton (or whatever you put) or putting more in.

Brother MFC-215C leaking ink

Buy a new printer ....unless it is a dodgy refilled magenta ink that is leaking,  if you are indeed using genuine Brother Inks then it will need a purge unit which is too costly to repair
