Question about Computers & Internet
I have a problem with SL-75DRV5-C motherboard, BIOS version T1.6 (I can´t get younger), and Athlon XP 1800+, Thoroughbred, AXDA1800DLT3C. This processor is not recognized by the motherboard. Thanks for any help. Edvard Spacek, Prague.
Hi, i have the same setup on one of my pcs,-to get the 1800+ working u just have to change tthe settings on the little blue and white control square thing - [now theres two]- its the bigger one with six settings: solution they should all be off apart from number 6 [which should give u 133mhz fsb] [it says this on the board by the silver chipset] allowing the processor to be recognised-if u have any probs just ask i can take a photo and send it to ya, Hope i can be of any help, good luck.

Are you saying that another processor is recognised (so board is OK) and that this processor is recognised in another board (so CPU is OK)or are you saying that it is recognised as something else? Have you updated the BIOS? Have you checked the switch settings? SW2 (front of case)should only have DIP6 on; SW1 (back)should either have DIP5 off for autodetect, or DIP1 off for 11.5 multiplier (I think!).
