SOURCE: John Deere Gator XUV 2008 oil in gas

I know exactly the problem. I work for a John Deere dealership and have seen this problem before. It is called short-tripping. When a machine is first started, gas does leak into the cylinder and crankcase past the rings--normal--simulates leaving the choke on too long with a carburetor engine.. As the engine temperature rises, the gas in the oil is burned off and there really isn't a problem. When you take short trips or do not let the engine run to get it up to temperature, the gas in the crankcase does not get burned off and will accumulate over time. Make sure the machine is getting up to operating temperature and this could take up to 20 minutes if the ambient air temp is low. Feel free to e-mail at ericf@greensouth.com with further questions

SOURCE: What would cause my John Deere Sabre 25hp 54"cut

Your tractor has a simple worm gear turning another worm gear system.Either the one of the spindles in the front wheels is sticking or the worm gear is not meshing or you need to replace the worm gear on the steering shaft it's self. Also,if the tie rods are not set right then the wheels may turn hard, set the tie rods so that they have 1 to 1 and 3/4 inches of tow in in the front wheels.

John Deere LT 155, why are small amounts of oil dripping into the carburetor air intake thru he oil breather hose connected to that air intake chamber

the breather hose is the means of allowing the compression by pass gasses to not build up pressure in the sump and it exits into the air inlet system near the air cleaner
for oil to be dripping there indicates
1--excessive oil in the sump
2-- worn rings allowing excessive blow by and boiling the sump oil
3-- incorrect oil used in the sump ( too thin) try a 30w -50 grade

What hydro fluid does a john deere 333d skid steer use

333D uses a variety of oil for the hydraulic system. Primarily 10W-30 Torq-Guard Supreme or 10W-30 Plus 50 II
EXCEPT: If your machine was equipped with the cold start package, it will use either Plus 50 II 0W-40 or Hydrau XR (Hydrau XR can be added to Plus 50 II 0W-40 in any ratio, ie. topping off 0W-40 with Hydrau XR is okay)

The mower starts, buts runs sluggishly, and dies

Most common is a dirty air filter, followed by a plugged vent hole in the filler cap on the gas tank. Next would be fuel issues either in the supply line or in the carburetor.
Hope this helps, --W/D--
