The problem of your unit is that the backlight or the CCFL cold cathode fluorescent light is damage or the inverter board has no supply, if you are familiar in electronics you can detect the true source of fault, of your tv, first check if there is a 24volts dc supplying to your inverter board if there is a supply in the inverter, check your CCFL if already damage. But when checking the inerverter board you should be very careful because it is producing a high voltage that one mistake can cause serious injury, but if you are not handy in electronic you can contact a service technician to do it for you and save you from stress good day and best regards.

The Inverter is the most likely cause replacing the inverter board should solve the issue. You can get a replacement board at www.tvcircuitboards.com if you dont see your model listed send them a email with your model number by hitting the contact us button on their website.
