Question about Computers & Internet
Ware can i get a harddrive addapter for a umax 345t laptop
I took a look at the age and spec of the unit and undoubtably it had an IDE hard drive 2.5", if you're just looking to get some files off the drive most computer stores offer HDD enclosures of the IDE flavour for under $25. They may charge a few bucks to extract it from the ole beasty and put it in said enclosure, but if your file mean something to you go ahead, a few bucks is worth it. Once in the enclosure you can plug the drive into any pc and copy the file off. Be warned though that with the age of the drive htere's a good chance she's getting weak, would be a good idea to copy those files off to a newer computer and/or CD/DVD ASAP to be sure there in more than one place to avoid losses.
ps feel free to print this and take it with you to your neighborhood PC store as it will tell them what needs doing in what us geeks consider english
