Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

SOURCE: CD RESET

to fix this problem you have to take the face plate off. There should be a small button on the middle-left side that sais "reset" on it. Get a ballpoint pen and press this button. Pop the face plate back on and play your CD and it should work no problem.

i have the same problem, it was a factory fit and the garage checked it and all the connections were ok, it appears to be a fault with the receiver.the radio is just 3 years old.

SOURCE: sony CDX-L480X

I had the same problem, CD not accepted by unit and pressing source button to select CD player causes unit to display reset.
Using reset button just causes unit to 'whir' for a while, problem is not solved. Firstly with unit switched off, and the ignition off I inserted a CD using some gentle force, I then inserted a second CD, forcing it in over the top of the first. Next I pressed and held the reset button for a short time before releasing it. Both CDs were ejected, when the unit had stopped I took the CDs out, replaced the front panel and turned on the ignition, The unit will now accept CDs and eject them O.K.

(This did take two attempts to get right). Seems to reset the eject status of the CD player.

Usually Reset button located underneath front panel, remove front panel and look at unit, hopefully you will see reset button, press it with some pointed thing like paper clip etc to reset the unit.
Thanks.

My Sony CDX-L350 CD Player's volume buttons dont react no matter how hard i press them, and i cant adjust the volume

Hi Kenny,

There is a manual reset that is used as a catch all remedy to handle symptoms of an unspecified origin.

It's located on the front of the unit, behind the front panel, directly behind the "ATT" button. Get a paper clip and press it.

Best regards

Sony Xplod CDX-M610 has blank faceplate

It sound like it has jammed in the mechanism, try pressing the reset button on the back plate, if this dont work you may need to remove the radio or fuse otherwise it may flatten your battery.

The drive(optical) drives door mechanism has malfunctioned. If the PC CD drive can be replaced that would be the best, but repairing is also not cost-effective...........sodeep

Display doesn't display info....just bright light

Have you tried resetting the unit? Remove faceplate and push the reset button with a ball point pen. If it's a bluetooth model there is a different procedure.

CDX-CA680- Cd player not working,

You are probably making the same mistake I did. The CD should be inserted BEHIND the front of the radio in the slot provided, press open on the front of the radio and all will be revealed! The CD trays underneath the radio are for storage only! Hope this solves the problem for you.
