By switching the supply lines you have eliminated the faucet as the culprit. It sounds like you may have mineral deposits lodged in the angle stop (the valve supplying water to the faucet) Shut off the inlet water to your water heater and open the lowest faucet's hot water side. if this is the one with the problem, be prepared for significant water spillage (you could open the TPV valve on the water heater to reduce pressure prior to attempting a fix).

angle stops have seats and washers, or cartridges, just like faucets and silcocks do. try flushing potential debris out of the angle stop (USE EXTREME MODERATION) or replace the angle stop. Compression styles are easiest to install, but sweat fitting are generally more durable. If you are not confident in your plumbing skills, call a professional.

Had similar problem. Disconnect pull out hose from supply hose and clean grit out of check valve(small plastic valve inserted into pullout hose at connection). Replace and presto more pressure!

Check the weight and see if it has screws in it to move in on the hose line the distance it lacks retracting.

Most of them can be adjusted to proper retracting mode. It may have a couple of screws in it.

I have a single control, new glacier bay bathtub faucet control. i don't have the hot water heater hooked up. i'm only getting a slight trickle out of my faucet whenb i turn the knob to cold. is it...

it is likely required. many new faucets have what's called a pressure balance valve that helps prevent scalding by lowering the pressure of hot when the cold pressure drops (due to a toilet flush or other water being run). Because you have pressure to only one side, that can cause the valve not to provide the necessary volume.

How to repair facet stem for glacier bay products kitchen sink

Theres not much you can do to repair the stem except replacing the small O-ring up inside. You can call Glacier Bay and ask for a new stem ( the faucet has a limited lifetime warranty. You can also use Delta faucet repair parts in your Glacier Bay kitchen faucet; they come from the same mold. Heres a link to Glacier Bay 2 handle kitchen faucet repair. Heres one to the Glacier Bay faucet manual for your faucet.

The hot water side has low water pressure. The

start by making sure the valve that supplies hot water to the sink and dish washer is fully open. If there is low hot water pressure in any of the other kitchen/bathrooms, then trace the line to see where the pressure drops. If it is only in the kitchen, it should be an old valve, (causes restriction)Good Luck.

I have very little water press on the hot water side

Dis-assemble the faucet to get to the valve. The handle comes off and you access the valve from the top, usually by removing a screw on ring.

You will robably find contamination in the hot side of the valve.

You can find instructions on the Moen website.

Glacier bay kitchen faucets with 2 handles and a sprayer

to be honest with you if there is a problem the glacier bay brand is from home depot and they are usualy around 20 to 30 dollars the replacement stems are usualy 15 to 40 depending on the part plus the hours ur gonna spend fixing it your better off with a full replacement. if replaced keep in mind you might want to replace the supliy lines to the faucet with stainless steal suply lines to ensure no leaks and if your shut offs are old dont touch them shut off your water main and drain down your house by opening all the faucets and shower valvs in your house then drain at the lowest point in the house weather it be a sink in the basement or an out side faucet once the supliy lines and faucet is in place then close all the faucets you opened and slowly turn on the water to your house slowly and this will ensure you dont have any leeks from your shutoffs good luck  your friendly plumber

Loss of pressure in kitchen faucet - Price Pfister

Your problem is a simple one.

  1. Turn off water to faucet.
  2. Place a towel(s) in the base of the sink(s) to prevent any parts from going down drain.
  3. Remove the handle to the faucet. (single handle only)
  4. If not a single handle then remove spout from faucet.
  5. If a single handle remove cap carefully and any loose parts.
  6. Gently turn spout side to side while lifting to remove.
  7. You will see a hole with a very small valve where the water comes out to the spout on the base of the faucet.

  1. Remove this valve (which is a backflow preventer) and replace.
  2. Reassemble and test.
Problem solved.

Low pressure and flow on hot water side of single handle faucet

It could be one of two problems, one simple, one serious.
  • Easy fix
  1. Turn off hot water angle stop under sink to faucet.
  2. Remove supply line from hot angle stop.
  3. Place end of supply line in a small bucket to catch some water.
  4. Turn on cold water for a couple of seconds and backflush debris from faucet.
  5. Reconnect supply line.
  6. Turn on angle stop and test
  • Complex fix
If you have steel pipes you may be experiencing reduced flow due to corrosion in your pipes. Reduced hot water pressure in the kitchen faucet is usually the first sign since this is the faucet that is most used in the home.

Repiping is a job for a professional. Another symptom you may need a repipe is orange colored or rusty water.
