Is this TV still new and under warranty? You should not be having heating issues with your TV as that can be dangerous and cause a house fire. If you have any other devices or material near the TV that would be insulating it you should get it away from it. I would contact the manufacturer if you are using the TV properly, this is a safety hazard and should be addressed.

Why does my new iPad get so hot when I play games on it?

Hi Jessica,

Much to your chagrin I bet, there's not too many options besides "play it less" if you want to cool your new iPad down. If the heat is an issue for you now it is probably going to continue to be an issue for you later.

Having said that, there are a couple ways I have used that seems to cool down the iPad by a few degrees:

  • Turn down your screen brightness. This is the best way for you to avoid heating issues. Your new iPad probably came out of the box with brightness turned all the way up. If you turn that down you will notice a decrease in heat immediately.
  • Use Wi-Fi instead of 4G LTE whenever possible. Now obviously you can't do this everywhere, but whenever possible you should access the internet via Wi-Fi and avoid riding your 4G LTE chip. That baby is power hungry and will heat up quick.
  • Give your A5X chip a break. In less technical terms, try not to play graphics heavy games (like Infinity Blade) for an extended period of time. Like you said in your question, that's when you experience the most heat discomfort. If it is at all possible for you to take even a short break (like 10 minutes every hour) from gaming, it should do a lot to keep the heat down.

I hope that helps you out!

My TV after being ON for about 10 minutes will shut off by it self. You can turn it back ON but it turns off rught away?

Hello
From your brief explanation I thinks that there is some loose solderings inside your TV. To make sure about it, you just give a small hit with your palm on the top or side or your TV, when it shuts down. Never use any hard material. Use ony your palm. If it comes on atleast for a short period of time, you can determine that there is some loose soldering inside it. As it is a 13" TV, and a small one, you can do it by yourself. Open the back cover, and pull out the printed circuit board inside, anc check for any component for loose contact. If it seems to be, resolder the point by applying a little more solder. Usually, some components of all TVs will heat up while working. Repeated heating and cooling can cause loose soldering contacts.
Do this first, and wants any more explanations, ask me through Fixya. Ok.

Sounds like a bearing is tightening up when it get heated up with use. Then after a cool down period it works normally until using it heats it up again. Eric

2006 ford f-250 diesel with no heat

it takes quite a while for a diesel to warm up by just idling in order to produce any heat.you have to put them under a load (drive it), before you will get any noticeable heat.if you have a block heater, plug it in 4-5 hours before you plan on driving it and that will definitely help produce interior heat quicker.

Goodman PHJK048 Heat Pump Package

ok...where to start.lol ....the thermostat is just a switch. It will tell the unit to run or not run.if you measure the temp with the heatpump running, the air is warmer than 68 but it feels cool to you because your body is 98.6.The unit will run more often and for longer periods when the temperature drops outside for a few reasons.First, your house has more of a load to heat, meaning you have more heat loss because of the difference in temperatures outside and inside.Second, your heat pump pulls heat from the outside air.The colder the air outside, the less btu's for it to pull.If you have anymore questions hillbuck29@aol.com Hope this helps,Dave
