Question about Dryers

Open Question

Hi Curtis Sewell i have a hoover Apollo deluxe 5.0kg dryer i pulled the the heating element out of it, I also pulled the shaft out of it, I can't remember how the shaft & washers sequence goes back on to the shaft so I can bolt on the heating element plate could you please help me in locating a shaft sequence diagram thank you Laurie

their is no fuse, heater coil is defective, a common problem, or this is not common, over heat safety sensor has tripped

you will need to get a wall mount bracket. I found a couple on ebay for about $30.

Hoover Apollo Delux not drying properly and takes ages. Outlet air is hot but my wife says it's not drying as well as it used to. The front filter is clean but is there an inlet filter that I'm overlooking...


T^o much lint in duct work, causing moisture and not allowing cloths to dry. Vacuum out duct work in dryer and from dryer to outside of home.

Not getting hot


Sounds like the heating element has broke. If it spins and doesnt produce heat its best to call someone out, or buy a new one. If nothing works, check fuses and connections

i dont think so , even if you could get the parts it would be quite tricky to fix without the proper tools and if you bought the tools they would cost more than a replacement dryer

A good Start to clear it up is "repair clinic.com" Sounds like a heating element. Repair Guru will let you know if it is a real problem to fix.
