Need to know the resistance of the speakers you are wiring, are they 4 ohm or 8 ohm speakers? Is this for car or home audio? What resistance does the amp show it is capable of handling?

SOURCE: bridging to 12 inch kicker competition subs to my 1000 watt alpine 4 channel amp

I'm a bit confused. For Alpine amps, the "M" prefix is for monoblock (aka single channel) amps and the "F" prefix is for multichannel amps. The only M550 I find is an MRD-M550, which is a monoblock, not a 4 channel like you say.
Unfortunately, I can't give you accurate help until we know weather it's truly 1 channel or 4 channel. Then I'll be glad to help!

SOURCE: how to wire my kicker solar baric

All depends on your amp. Is it 1 ohm stable or not?
Parralell:
positive (pos) on voice coil 1 (vc1) to Pos on vc2 and negative (neg) on vc1 to neg on vc2. Then speaker wire from amp to one vc only = 1ohm load.
Series:
Pos from amp to Pos on vc1. Neg of vc1 to Pos of vc2. Neg of vc2 to amp = 4 ohm load.

SOURCE: need to wire two dvc 15 in kicer l7 to 1 ohm

Hello goldy6569,

To wire the L72's at 1ohm, simply connect both +'s and -"s on each sub together. Then connect to your amp terminals.

With 2ohm DVC's, you can have either a 1ohm load or a 4ohm load. The diagrams are here (I know it's the website of a Kicker competitor, but their "wiring wizard" is simply the best).

Hope this helps.

How do you wire 2 15 inch kicker cvx dvc 4 ohm subs to a 1700.1D hifonixs mono amp so i can get the most power

Wire both hot wires together and both ground wires together then wire them to the amp with the hot on one speaker output and the ground on the other speaker ground. This puts them in the bridged position. Pulls the maximum watts out the amp and unbelievable sound.

So I just bought a kicker cx 300.1 mono block amp to run my 10 inch comp d 4 ohm 300 watt sub. I ran it parallel and it smells like the coils are burning. Help

That's only normal for the burn in period. Make sure you're not running it in 2 ohm by wiring the sub wrong. That amp is not really 2 ohm stable for a sustained period

Need a wiring diagram to hook up two 10 inch subs and 15 inch sub a kicker 250.1 amp

Series or parallel? Single, dual voice coil? I'm not sure you have the right size amp for all 3 speakers. And I wouldn't wire the 10's together with the 15. The larger sub is going to have a larger power demand. You could wire the 2-10's together on this amp, and get another mono amp for the 15.

How do I wire a kicker mono amp for my subwoofer

You'll need to take the low frequency from the crossover to drive the sub woofer amp otherwise you'll get full range out of the mono amp which will reduce the low frequencies presented to the sub spesker.

How would u wire a single 10 inch sub 2 olm kicker l5 to ur amp

First you have to determine if your amp can run a 2 ohm load. If it can, (check the manufacturers documentation on the specs for the amp) then just wire the positive to the positive on the amp, and the negative to the negative on the amp. This assumes that the amp is a mono or one channel amp. If it is a two channel amp, you may be able to bridge it, if the amp can run that way. (Positive of one channel to the positive on the sub, then the negative of the second channel to the negative on the sub. MAKE SURE THE AMP CAN DO THIS BEFORE WIRING IT THIS WAY!!
This could blow the channel (cause damage to the amp) if it is not supported.
If you list model and manufacturer of amp, I can assist with more certainty.

Good luck!

Kicker 8 inch 4 ohm subwoofer 200 watts rms?

Max 200 W. You could bridge 2 channels of a 4 channel amp (or get a 2 ch amp and bridge it) and connect the sub. Bridging = connect + of sub to + of one channel, and connect - of sub to - of *other* channel. Check amp manual for instructions.

Don't get a mono - most are 300W or more - might burn the coil during loud passages.

2 channel amp with 2 Kicker Cvrs 15"

Assuming the amplifier is 2 ohm mono stable... the amplifier is bridgeable... and the subwoofers are Single 4 Ohm Voicecoils, You would wire them as follows....

Both + on Both subs to the + bridged terminal on the amplifier.
Both - on Both subs to the - bridged terminal on the amplifier.

This will net a 2 ohm mono load for your amplifier.

If you have something different - let me know... and I will give you the proper wiring for what you have.

Got a 12"kicker L74ohm sub and sony xm-D9001GTR mono amp

Hello juan_penaloz,

The Kicker L7 has an RMS power range of from 50-750 watts and a maximum power handling capability of 1,500 watts so your Sony amp will power it OK. A more powerful monoblock like the Alpine MRP-M1000 or the Kicker 08ZX750.1 would provide even more power and could operate safely at 2ohms.

You have the voice coils wired properly for the Sony amp. It's OK to have the sub impedance higher, but you definitely do not want it lower than the 4ohms the amp is rated at in bridged mode.

Hope this helps.

What is best amp to run 2 12 inch cvr's

12In Kicker CVRs
are Dual Voice Coil, and You can run each voice coil around 200 Watts RMS

So each sub will have a 400 Watt RMS and 800 Watts peak.

Now since you have 2, Your total will be 800 Watts RMS and 1600 Watts Peak.

I would get really any amp that sits at around 800-1000 Watts RMS.

These are kicker but they are low end so i wouldnt push them to the extreme.

1000-1200 Watts RMS Max and but keep the Gain down on the amp. They will hit no doubt but i wouldnt push these subs or you will be disapointed in the long run.

I would get a Fosgate or MTX amp.

You can get any amp really but find something right around 1000 Watts RMS and it will push those well.

You can go mono block or a 2 channel, just depends on how you want to wire them.

Be careful though. If your running them bridged right now with your mono block, do not run them parallel bridged on a 1000w RMS Amp, you will blow them so fast lol

(RMS = Root Mean Square. Or in other words is the continuous wattage being sent from the amplifier to the subwoffers)
