How does one strip the Braun series 5 Electric Razor to replace the Batteries?

cant say i have done it to this model , but I have done procedure for a Phillips model , there may be a screw , but mostly they pull apart like a remote for a television , internal clips / self locking , strong finger nails can do it , or a plastic pry tool to leaver it apart carefully , it's a finesse things , & sometimes patience lol , now for battery , not sure on this model , they usually have 2 x AA rechargeable batteries inside them , but they are cross soldered together to double voltage , there is also a wire soldered from device to battery terminal , buying the same type of battery and quantity , 2 X AA rechargeable etc.. you can solder them , be sure to firmly scratch top and bottom of batteries before attempting to solder them , take notice of other batteries and connection's , use a guide to solder new one's in, experience soldering is required ,

Changing rechargeable battries 45-40

Metz 45-40 consist of 6 nos of NiCd - AA size batteries connected in series. These battery packs can be rechanged by resoldering new set of AA size rechargable Nicd battries. Care should be taken not to short circuit the cells when disassembling and assembling the cells. Keep a note (sketch) of the connections of the cells, specially the longer connecting metal strip and the polarities of cells. re-solder the new set of AA size NiCd Batteries. If the old wires were corroded, use new wires' If the connecting terminals also corroded' clean it. If it is severely corroded, get it plated prior to fixing for better performance.. There is an charging indicating lamp which also control the charging current of the batteries. check its connections and solder it if required. I wish you got the answer for your problem.

Where do I find replacement batteries for my Braun 4775?

>These units are not really made to be taken apart.

totally false. there are two plugs on the bottom that reveal two T8. loosen those and the shaver slides right open, there's even a video on youtube showing how easy it is to open. The seals are all rubber gaskets, there is no seal that gets "broken" by opening in this way. The batteries aren't even soldered down! pop them out and pop in replacements. easier to replace batteries in this model than most others due to no soldering required. I'm having a little difficulty finding the AA size batteries with the pin ends though, there's someone on ebay right now selling the AAA size with pins, I'm contacting them now to see if they can get the AA that the 4775 uses.

How to release batteries from circuit board on braun 7526 shaver.

There are two ways to remove them. I suggest that you use a small pair of needle nose pliersor a small flat screwdriver to break the tabs off of the ends of the batteries. You can then solder the new batteries to those old tabs. That way you won't have to solder directly to the circuit board.

The other way to remove them is to unsolder them from the circuit board.

You will find batteries for this shaver at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

Need replacement battery for braun Model number 5000-type 5724

Shaver Replacement Battery AA NiMh type
NiMh shaver battery pack with easy solder tabs, dimensions of battery are 1 11/16 length x 9/16 diameter. Battery is 1650 mAhWill fits several older model Braun shavers, $9.99. Contact http://shaveroutlet.com/ for detailed info. Older model Braun shaver batteries don't come on a circuit board and involve soldering.

Since I have never dissembled this model ask Shaver Outlet via e-mail if you buy the parts from them. They have been most helpful to me.

Disassembly instructions for braun 360 complete 8985

To disassemble the 8000 Series shaver. Remove the plastic cover on the bottom that covers the corded socket. Be careful, there are a total of two tabs on the short sides and four very small tabs on the long sides. I usedmy fingernail to create a space big enough to insert the corner of a credit card in the center of the long side opposite the blue light indicator, then gently removed the cover. Using a screwdriver could damage the plastic. The two sides then pop off, they only fit on their respective side when replacing. Don't lose the two small black seals on the top of each side piece. There are a total of four screws holding the body together. Remove the screws, using the proper flat blade or torx screwdriver. The shaver will then split into. You can then remove the the Motor Drive Unit and the separate circuit board with the batteries. This would also be a good time to clean the goo buildup from around the shaver head. Assembly is the reverse of above. The Motor Unit will only fit in one way, there is a flat side and a angular side. Be sure the pin for the trimmer in placed in its proper hole, or it won't extend. A good place for parts, http://shaveroutlet.com/.

Battery replacement for Braun 8585

I'm pretty sure that the batteries are part of a sealed unit with the PCB on this model, and after checking the Service Diagram I'm even more convinced.

I would suggest fully charging and discharging (leaving it running without the foil and cutter on) a number of times to see if you can improve the performance, as there may be a memory effect on the battey. The model is only 5 years old so your batteries should have a little more life.

It is a mains/rechargeable shaver though, so you "should" still be able to use it with the lead plugged directly into the shaver. So the shaver may not be a dead loss! :)

Braun shaver won't charge

Batteries have an expiry date, Even if you're not using them they are still discharging. Even the regular AA type you buy at the shops.

Batteries can die even if there is a lack of use. And even regular rechargeable shavers that are used all the time have only a limited life a little shorter that=n what you've had.

Should you get new batteries or a new shaver? probably not, you're using 2-3 times a year. I'd recommend buying a cheap Braun or Remington that can take AA's.
