SOURCE: 2001 cavalier barely starts, sometimes runs

Three things.
First, you need to check the MAF sensor for contamination.

Second, check fuel pressure, if you dont have a gauge, autozone and Advance have them on their tool loaner program.
Should see 35-40 psi with key on engine off, cycle key a few times, if it takes a while to build up, replace filter and retest.

Third, possible convertor blockage, easiest check is to remove the 02 sensor and try to start with the hole open, if it runs, then that is it, specs allow for 2-3 lbs of back pressure max. That means if you can hear pressure escaping, it is a problem area.

SOURCE: fuel pump not staying on 1993 k1500 350

Some GM products also incorporate the oil sender switch into that circuit for fuel pump, so that in case of an accident, engine shuts off, oil pressure drops, in turn, shuts off power to fuel pump. May be worth a look at what your getting for oil pressure, as well as checking switch/sender.

Make sure the line is connected to the fuel cap if it has a pump ball.

SOURCE: Craftsman Weedeater won't start

You are definitely on the right track. There is only one thing that could be wrong as long as you replaced the needle valve, screen, gasket, & diaphragm. When cleaning the carb., you need to clean the small portals incarb. with a Den Tek Brush, (used for cleaning between teeth), they work great for this job. These portals, if blocked slightly, can cause this problem.

What happens if u don't turn the key to the on position 3 times before trying to start a 1999 Mazda mallinia after replacing a fuel filter

The purpose of turning the key on three times is to allow the fuel pump to to pressurize the fuel line and fill the filter.
If you just try to start the car the first few seconds will be spent filling the lines and filter. And if the car does not start after several seconds many cars will shut down the pump until the key is cycled again.

2000 Ford V10 will not start. Will start with starting fluid.

Fuel filters don't typically clog from a vehicle sitting. My 1st guess would be the fuel pump(motor sitting stationary has made a contact on the armature corrode).Try thumping the fuel tank with a rubber mallet while someone turns the key on to prime the pump(turn to run, wait 5 seconds, shut off, wait 15 seconds, repeat). This might get the pump moving again.

Husqvarna_blower 125b have adjusted carb but after ten mins shuts off. After a few mins will start up again.

The carburetor or fuel line are the usual culprits. This can be fixed by pouring the fuel into a container to inspect for debris. The fuel line should be drained and blown to cleared completely. Fuel left in an engine can sour and gunk up the inner working. Make sure your using a stabilizer in the mix before storing during winter. Happy Gardening,Coach Dave

Where is the in-line fuel filter on a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe located.

I am not familiar with that model, but it dosen't sound like a fuel filter to me .
If it runs good after you get it started, the filter is probably ok,i don't know where it is located on that model, but it sounds like you have already found the problem (low fuel pressure) check for leaks, make sure the lines are on the right places on tank .Whatever is causing low fuel pressure is probably the solution.
hope this helps!

I have a McCulloch I385L curved shaft grass trimmer. I replaced the fuel lines but it seems the inner diameter of lines is a bit smaller than the original. When I put the fuel filter back on, I twisted the...

Without the fuel filter, any small bit of grass or other small particals could easily clog a port in the carb. Don't worry however! Any small engine shop will have the filter in stock, and the fuel lines too! It will only cost a couple dollars. Just remove the two screws on the carb-to-motor. Disassemble the carb after disconnecting the thottle linkage, and blow out the ports with compressed air or carb cleaner. Sometimes a good hardware store has filters an lines too. The filter does NOT have to match your brand, just as long as it has one, and the lines don't really matter on an engine that small. Just make sure the lines are fuel rated! Good luck, and keep me posted!

Car stops running wait n starts up only to repeat.. tried to change fuel filter... Cant find it

If you have traced the fuel lines between the tank and the engine and haven't seen it, you have to drop the tank. Is some dodges you have to drop the tank and replace the fuel filter. Sometimes they don't sell the filter you have to buy the whole pump. hope this helps

Chainsaw cuts out

  1. Clean the air filter.
  2. Drain the tank and refill with fresh fuel mix.
  3. Replace fuel filter and Inspect fuel lines for cracks.
If 1 – 3 don’t fix the problem, spend $40 for a tune & repair up at your friendly neighbor hood chainsaw shop. HTH
