Question about Westinghouse W32701 27 in. LCD HDTV
Appeared after I received my Westinghouse W32701 27 inch LCD TV back from the service center. The line was initially about 2 inches long but has progressed across the entire screen now nut shaped balls are forming along the line; currently there are eight of them, but more appear each day. They are about a 1/2 inch in diameter and seem to be multicolored. The reason the TV was being repaired was because the picture went out, and I had only sound. They had to replace a control unit of some sort.
Unfortunately, you will need to replace the tv order to correct this problem as it is a glitch in the LCD's active matrix multiplexer interface.
Sorry, it's not repairable without replacing the defective IC which will require extensive SMD soldering. I would take it back and tell them there is still a problem with the picture
