Kenmore oven take a long time to heat up, but bakes just fine once it reaches temperature. Is there anything I can do to speed up the heating process?


Start earlier?

check temperature calibration (allowed to be 15% ie 180 can be 153 or 207 Celsius!) no wonder Margs' scones cook faster at her house :-)

Hello Cynthia, contact a professional that your manufacturer suggests. Sounds like the mechanical thermostat, oven sensor or EOC needs to be diagnosed for replacement.

Hi
This means a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the sensor is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue start by checking the oven temp. sensor for 1100 ohms, if the rating is more then that then check the control board however, as the issue is only with upper oven it is most likely that the temperature sensor is bad and should be replaced. Hi i have turbochef speed oven in subway and on display show F6 ec Temp . what is problem


Hi,
F6 faults occured when temperature reached to 150 degree faharanite in the electrical compartment.
Solutions
1. Clean the dust in the electrical compartment.
2. There is an temperature sensor on the controle board which gets dirty and throw wrong values.Clean it and then try.
3. Check the exaust fan in the top rear location is working properly.
4.Check for proper air ventillation.

Turn oven on to bake when it reaches temp oven cuts off and f2 sh


This indicates the oven has reached an over temperature. You will first need to check the temperature probe for the proper reading. Refer to the tech sheet located somewhere on your stove. It should be around 1100 ohms. If this checks out good the ERC electronic range control will need to be replaced. Here is a couple links that should help

The oven does not get up to the proper teperature


The problem is the ignitor is not reaching the correct amp draw. There is a free video at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html this will walk you thru performing the amp draw test.

Oven doesn't maintain temperature


When an oven doesn't maintain the set temperature, first make sure no one is allowing the heat to escape by opening its door. If not, the oven control either needs to be re-calibrated or replaced. To have the control replaced, call an appliance service person.
