Try placing the battery in rice, leave it for a few hours or so and then try again.

Got wet and wont come on

If you tried to turn the phone on while it was still wet it's probably dead.
One thing you may want to try is take the battery out and leave the cover off. Then place the phone in a zip-lock bag full of rice. Take the battery and do the same in a different bag. The rice will help absorb the moisture and could possibly save your phone. ONLY rice will work, anything else ie; bread will only make the problem worse. Give it 24 hours then take the phone and battery out and try to boot them back up.

My samsung smooth got wet i let it dry but will not turn on

Wet Cell Phone
Immediately remove the phone from the water, turn off the cell phone remove the battery and SIM card. When you have driedthe cell phone by putting in a warm sunny place for several days or in front ofa warm fan heater for several hours then reassemble the phone. Hopefully itwill work properly but if does not work then it is faulty and you need a newcell phone.

Phone just wont switch on. seems dead

Assuming that you didn't do anything to kill the phone (drop it too much, get it wet, use it as a doorstop), it could be an issue with the connection between the battery and the phone.
  1. Remove battery.
  2. Using a normal pencil eraser, rub the gold terminals on both the battery and the phone.
  3. Rub the terminals with a cloth to remove any debris.
  4. Try turning the phone on.
If this doesn't work it may be that the battery is dead or the phone is dead. If it's the battery it can be replaced. To check if the phone or battery have gotten wet, look for a small patch of paper on the battery or the phone. Typically this paper will turn from white to pink if liquid comes in contact with it (this is how the cell phone company knows if you got your phone wet when you bring it in broken). If it is pink, most likely the phone is completely dead and not fixable.

It's the battery. Buying a new one will fix your problem. It's very common in cell phones.

Phone got wet, still turns on, works, but seems that power button

If the phone just got a little wet, you better remove the battery and blow dry thru' all the vents in the phone. Wait for atleast an hour and blow dry again. Now connect the battery and test it. If it still turns on automatically, the water is out of your reach and the phone HAS to be opened to dry properly. Please donot work with in this condition or you could lose your phone.
