SOURCE: spark module clicks and gas will not stay lit, flame comes on but goes out

hi Clogged burners are a very common problem with gas ranges because foods spilled on the burners block the gas ports and prevent ignition. On some gas ranges you can remove the top ring of the burner to expose the ports. Here's how to clean a burner:
Step 1: Turn off the power supply, both gas and electric, to the range. Then remove the burner.
Step 2: Soak the burner in a solution of mild household detergent and water. Clean it with a soft cloth.
Step 3: Clear the gas ports with a pin or needle, rinse the burner, and let it dry. Caution: Do not use a toothpick or matchstick to clean the gas ports. If the tip of the wood gets stuck in the burner ports, it could cause a serious blockage.
Step 4: When the burner is completely dry, replace it, and turn on the power and the gas supply.
thank u.................

replace the gas safety valve thermocouple,it has a thin coil of copper colored tubing going from the safety gas valve into the pilot light flame and as the flame heats the copper tube end it keeps the gas valve open to supply gas to the unit, they get old from being in a flame and cant signal the gas valve to stay open any longer, they just unscrew out of the gas valve and the opposite end is positioned in the tip of the pilot flame to heat it

Middleby Marshall 360 pizza conveyor oven is making clanking noise by circular fan grate in back bottom left of oven. Please help

Is it the rear of the oven or the left side?
  • Rear of the oven, it is a obstructed or malfunctioning axial fan. Replacement cost $10-$20 - 30 minutes labor
  • Left side of oven, possible main blower fan malfunctioning. Depending on type of motor "S" or "Q". It might be the mount or a bearing wearing out. Replacement motor $200-$400, motor shop rebuild instead $150. Squirrel cage will need to be removed if damaged $100-$300. Labor 2 hours, if you know what you are doing, 4 to 6 if this is your first time. Check your heat slinger also. This might have come loose.
Call me for parts or further info. I have been here before.......

Ican't turn the oven on. When I press "Bake" it goes to LOC and then turns itself off. I should be able to adust the temperature (+ or -), then press start.

Hi

If it is a GE oven then you can try and reset the LOC error by pressing 9 and the 0 simultaneously for 5 seconds or until the LOC disappears. Alternatively you can try pressing the "Oven Lockout" or "Range Lockout" button on the control panel and then the "Start" button. Hope this helps... Please post back with make and model# of your Oven if you need more information.

I have a Middleby Marshall Pizza Oven.igniter works but seems like no gas coming through ,tried poking a pin in the gas nozzles as we had that problem before where some **** blocked one of the holes but...

Need a qualified person to check gas control valve to determine proper voltage to the valve is supplied. If voltage is present, either the gas line is blocked to the pilot, or the valve has failed and needs to be replaced. Typically, the latter is probably the problem. If NO voltage is present when the unit "calls" for ignition, check for loose conections at the ignition control, and the gas control.

Cant turn it off, it seems to be locked?

hELLO THERE
On some of these ovens they have a internal reset device that needs to be reset and this is done by unplugging the oven and waiting for one hour then plugging it back in and waiting for 5 min befor you attempt to unlock it.
Now on some of the newer model ovens all you have to do is unplug wait 15 sec and plug it back in for 5 sec then repeat this step 3 times ok so please try these and let me know how this goes
Best regards Michael

These little motors are controlled by a rheostat for speed control, or electronic speed control. Follow wire from motor to control and check. Also; is chain on?
