Picture is breaking-up - Televison & Video

If you have a good picture on some channels and the picture breaks up on others , it could be the input signal. What is the source of the input signal; i.e. cable, satellite, antenna???? Do you have a cable box? The problem may be with the box or with the provider's signal.

What kind of tv programming do you have? Antenna, Cable, Dish? Most of the time if the picture is breaking up it will be the signal from the source, not the tv.

Plasmas are like tube TV's(CRT). Once the plasma tube breaks, air gets in, plasma gas gets out. And that's it. They are an enclosed vacuum picture tube. I don't know why people buy plasma. The newer LED have a much better picture. Rich people who swear by plasma, are ridiculous in my opinion. Again, if plasma tube breaks, thats it. Any wrong jarring can break a plasma tube.

What is your model number? Also when you say picture is breaking up do you mean the signal breaks up? Does it happen when you have the menu up also? Are you using cable or regular TV?

Hi! Pretty much an optical lens issue. This is bout to reach its break point so be ready to replace it if it breaks down.

You can change the way the channels can be displayed/viewed by a video setting, consult manual. When pic breaks into pixels and sound goes it's usually a reception problem so you'll have to adjust the antenna facing a direction that makes that channel come in clearly. It helps to experiment with positions and antennas.

picture break up on all digital chanels

Picture breaking up is usually caused by signal lost, does it do it while you watch a dvd? or vcr?
i f not i would have cable company check the antenna connections.
