SOURCE: Live kick drum causes HHB 830 Burnit Plus to stop

Absolutely. You are going to have to isolate the drummer from the writer somehow.
We used to put the drummer in an isolation booth.
You can also try building a "foamy box" for the CD writer. The kind of foam you want looks flat on one side, and sine wave like on the other. Put the flat sides out.
Build it with just the front open, and run the cables under the recorder and out the front if length allows.
CAUTION: I recommend using this enclosure ONLY when there is a live drum being recorded live.
This is because prolonged enclosure like this may cause heat issues.

TIP: which ever side faces the drummer, the writer should not be touching that foam wall.
IE - if the rear faces the drummer, the box should be big enough that the rear wall doesn't touch the writer.
Good luck, and let me know how that all works out for you!
(hey, it's easier than suspending the writer with elastic or bungee cords!)
[subnote - yes, that works too, but it's a pain in the **** building the metal frame!]

Either contact hhb or look on E bay. Universal remotes usually do not have enough of the functions required to finalize discs and such.

Hi, I have an HHB Burn-It CDR 830. Whenever I'm recording, along about the 5th track in- the player starts to fuzz out. The time stutters/freezes momentarily, and then continues normally for a while...

If it's always around the same physical location on a given CD it would have to be a physical problem with the transport, not the lens.

Esoteric but comprehensive advice....

Hi there, when recording analogue from mixer to HHB Burner 830 the blank cd does not read properly, and records blank even thou the connections are in the right ins and out (phono to phono) And the input...

I can only assume that it's not changing the analogue signal into a format suitable for transferring to a CD. Check the recording settings. Make certain the signal is being converted to say a WAV format or MP3 etc.

Anytime I try to record with my HHD BurnIT cdr 830, the red record light will only be bleeping and the time counter will not work as well. And there will be nothing recorded on the cd.

Just a guess, but did you ever try to hit the record a second time once you're all set up to start? The first press of the record button places the machine in record/pause mode after it calibrates itself to the disc.

HHB burn it...I record on coaxial from Tascam DAT. 1st five tracks are great but the 6th track sounds horrible like there is a scratchy sounding distorted delay. It does this every once in the while . What...

I had this happen a lot on my Pioneer PDR-509, which is pretty much the same machine, when using marginal mongrel-brand CDR's. It's annoying but I have seen nothing to explain or detect it in real time so something can be re-recorded.
