if it is a kenmore with top lint screen, remove the 2 lint screen screws, pul the top toward you and up at the same time and the lid pop's up.you can now see the belt,if you want you can remove the door switch wires and the 2 front panel screws 1 on each side top to get to the bottom-mike

Kenmore 80 Series draining problem

Check the following before replacing the timer.

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

Kenmore Series 80

You can find an exploded view at Sears Parts Direct, as well as get P/N's for the parts needed. I suspect the roller assembly came apart which caused the belt to fail.

You will need your Model number to locate the exploded view. If you can not figure out the routing from that, then order the service manual from Sears. It will show the routing and describe how to assemble and test most all aspects of the appliance.

Kenmore washer model 80 series won't spin in cycle but will when put on spin

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Rate me pl.....if helped. Click on 'thanks for trying' if not helped, your prob will be back for someone else to solve.
