This message usually means your "boot record" on your harddrive is corrupt due to a virus attack or harddrive failure. You will need to repair your boot record. If that doesn't solve the problem, replace your harddrive. If you don't know what this means, take it to a good computer repair shop. It's not something you want to do as a "newbie".
