Question about Liebherr Refrigerators
Deston, I hate to be the one to break this to you but...the standard of quality and control over the board of appliances is no where it used to be or needs to be. Turning out a well build product one can be proud of has been replaced by pure profit motive. Having said that ANY refrigeration system that looses its coolant befor 8 to ten years has manufacturing / design problems. And I see this in all most all makes and modles.

see if there is a big block of ice on the back plate in your frige, if there is then your thermostat is set to cold or broken. if no ice in the frige then it has a gas leak!

No, it is not a failed condenser. You need to see if the compressor is running though. When it runs you shaould have a fan in the freezer running, a fan underneath the fridge running, and the compressor should be running. I would be willing to bet that either the compressor is bad, or the start relay on the compressor.

From your problem description I would say it sounds like maybe the condenser fan is not running. If that fan does not run, the compressor will overheat, and get very unhappy, LOUDLY. There is a fiberboard cover on the back of the unit, unplug the unit, remove the cover and inspect the fan, it should turn freely if you nudge it with your finger. If it does not turn freely, you will need to make it so by lube, removing foreign object (dead mouse once for me) dust dragons etc... or replace the fan if necessary.

Normally if you remove the LHS salad drawer in the fridge you will see a sticker on the wall of the unit with the relevant information.
Hope this helps.
