SOURCE: 42" LG RZ42PX11 Plasma - rainbow lines on whole screen but sound

hi there.its likely that the lower y-drive panel has died.this is a very common problem with this model.the easy way is to remove the panel from the set completely, power it up and you should be greeted with the top half of the picture.this means ic failure, usually the bottom one for some odd reason.not replaceable unless you have the gear, these ics are available from dalbani(nikkai)for those interested.be extra careful with the four ribbon cables when removing/refitting.damage to these writes off the display panel.hope this helps somewhat, regards, steve.

SOURCE: "Display connected non-HDCP compliant" error

The HDMI cable was causing "Display connected non-HDCP compliant" error message to appear.
When I reconnected my DVD to TV using regular cable with 3 color connectors(i don't know what is the proper name for that cable) that error message no longer appears on my screen and I was able to watch my movie normally.

SOURCE: Tv wont turn on worked fine last night

If there is no power at all, then the problem is likely the power supply unit.
The PSU must be tested, then eventually replaced.

I have a 2009 Lg 37lh30 Tv and for the most part it works until recently. I am now getting a HDCP rejection when using an Apple tv or Roku and no screen when using my bluRay Player (which use to work

Some TV's & cables are not HDCP compliant . Sometimes you can replace the cable to fix the problem & other times you have to replace the tv because its not HDCP compliant . First check to see if your tv is HDCP compliant .

Did you take the default configuration when you set up the device? Did you change anything? Go back to the setup and see if you have modified any of the output sections. Also check for the TV being plugged into the wrong place...
HDCP is "High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection" via HDMI connections, I believe. In short it's saying that it has some kind of error that is a copyright violation, as a guess. You might look it up on the Pioneer site for a better explaination.

You could have a HDMI cable that has gone bad; FYI, HDMI cables carry both audio and video signals.

HDCP is causing the trouble You experience. Try using other video input connection for same set. If it works fine that way, the problem is that the rights protection (HDCP) is acting as "police" to prevent copying or reproduce unauthorized content. If only the HDMI is connected (disconnect all other inputs/outputs) on some sets, could be work fine.

Hello, I recently hooked my Xbox 360 up to my surround sound system using a digital optical cable ran from the xbox to the TV (optical cable from 360 to sound system) Sound and video works great for...

HDCP is the "handshake" protocol used by the Xbox to communicate via HDMI to your TV. The optical cable wouldn't have anything to do with this error. So far the only solution that's been found to this issue is to ensure that the HDMI cable is properly plugged in and power off/on both devices and see if the handshake is restored. If this doesn't work you may need a new HDMI cable.

HDMi ( no signal, not supported) doesn't work with Dmr-Ez47v

Any HDMI cable manufactured in the last couple of years should all be HDMI 1.1 compliant, your problem is most likely the logic board in the TV itself or the HDMI connector on the logic board has a bad connection..

Have you tried hooking-up a standard DB15 VGA cable to the AKAI TV and your laptop?

If this works your problem is in the TV and will most likely have to be repaired to receive the HDMI signal since your Panasonic DVR and your laptop are not recognized by the HDMI input on the TV.

Good luck!

Have hdcp error flashing on front display

HDCP is copyright protection for HDMI ensuring that you can't copy the protected material.
Did you connect some new DVD player or new TV to the receiver? However the error should clear once you disconnect everything from HDMI. If not, try to restore the receiver to factory defaults.

Phillips plasma 50 inch HDMI cable port being blocked by cable Cable company will not do anything. Cable box explorer 8300hdc It will run for a day or two then the cable port stops working.

There are some ambiguities in the HDCP protocol (rights protection for HD).  When two devices use this one will send a message to the other, it then waits for a response, lastly it responds back.  This is the connection setup procedure.  The issue is that there wasn't a specified time limit that a device must wait before assuming the connection isn't working.  This can cause you to get an error message along the lines of "your tv doesn't support hdcp"  Unfortunately, there's not much that can be done about this.  I spent the better part of two weeks researching this issue with my own television and cable box.  I actually called the cable company and the contractor they use to link them to all of the relevant information but they still insist my tv has an issue.
On the other hand, if you're not getting a message like this you may need to clarify whether you are getting an error or if it's just completely blank.
