Any problems with the picture/graphics is usually attributed to a bad LCD display. Maybe the back light went out.

My averatec will not turn on

Open it again and make sure you connect all the devices and such ..It seam to be like a clear case of a disconnected cable ..If the system boot up ..and seam to run ..try to see if the vga secondary monitor brings anything to a screen ..if it does it means you messed up with the monitor connections ..cause you changed the hard disk ..you don't have a operation system to boot into and try to make an idea..but its a start ..
Other things to check is the fan connections and cables ..
If the screen is totally blank I think is like I said just a bad connection to the monitor or a damaged cable in the process of opening it .In any other case you would have at least a warning on screen even without hard disk it should boot to BIOS ..

My dishwasher is not washing. It runs water in and out, but is not washing. I hear the motor. The repair man told me that I would need top get to the chopper inside the dishwasher. I am not sure how to...

Appliance repair parts stores carry service manuals for individual brands if you need step by step instructions. The basic procedure is to disassemble the lower spray arm assembly down to the deck. If you attempt this, keep track of the placement of all components as you work downward. The chopper is right at the bottom under all of this. The usual problem found is the large screen at the bottom that becomes plugged with hard water and food deposits. Clean the screen in hot water, white vinegar, and detergent. The vinegar will take about an hour to dissolve the hard water scale. Check the spray arms for plugged spray holes and possible split seams. Look for blockage of any holes in the deck itself. Re-assemble in reverse order. Hope this helps!

Need to replace heater core

Heater Core REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

1978 and Later Without A/C
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and drain the cooling system. CAUTION
When draining the coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted by the ethylene glycol antifreeze, and are quite likely to drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantity. Always drain the coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or several years old.
  2. Disconnect and plug the heater hoses from the core tubes.
  3. Disengage the electrical connectors from the module case.
  4. Unbolt and remove the module's front cover and lift out the core. To install:
  5. Install the core and apply sealant to the module cover, then install the cover and secure.
  6. Engage the electrical connectors to the module case.
  7. Remove the plugs, then connect the heater hoses to the core tubes.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable, then refill the engine cooling system and check for leaks.
1967 and Later With A/C
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable, then drain the engine cooling system to a level below heater core.
  2. Disconnect and plug the heater hoses at the core tubes. Plugging the hoses will help prevent excessive coolant leakage.
  3. Remove the module's rubber seal and screen. If necessary, disconnect the washer nozzle from the cowl.
  4. If necessary, remove the right windshield wiper arm.
  5. As applicable, remove or disengage, the diagnostic connector, high blower relay, thermostatic switch, ground strap and/or electrical connectors from the heater core module cover.
  6. Loosen the retainers and remove the module's top cover. The cover is sealed to the module and this seal must be broken before the cover can be removed. Be absolutely sure that all cover fasteners are removed before attempting to break the seal or cover damage will result. Take your time and be careful not to force and crack or otherwise damage the cover. NOTE: On many late model vehicles, cover interference with the vehicle's bulkhead will may removal difficult. On these vehicles it will be necessary to loosen the windshield's chromed lower trim plate for the necessary clearance.
  7. With the top cover removed, loosen or unclip the core retainer, then carefully lift the core from the vehicle. To install:
  8. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the cover and the module of all old sealer.
  9. Install the heater core to the module and secure the retaining bracket.
  10. Apply a coating of sealant to the cover, then install the cover and tighten the fasteners. If the windshield trim plate was loosened for clearance, reposition and secure it.
  11. Engage the electrical connectors and components to the module cover, as applicable.
  12. If removed, install the right wiper arm.
  13. Install the module screen and rubber seal. If removed, install the washer nozzle to the cowl.
  14. Remove the plugs and reconnect the heater hoses to the core tubes.
  15. Connect the negative battery cable, then properly refill the engine cooling system and check for leaks. Leaking fuel tank at seam under tank

That is the easiest leak to fix. You have to get a can of POR brand, tank repair. Remove the tank, drain it, dry it, I think you have to wash it with soap and water, dry it again, they give you instructions, mix up the paint, pour into the tank, let it cover the whole bottom, sides, and seam, and top too, and make sure you don't clog up any lines or vents, wait for it to dry, you will have the nicest looking finish inside your tank, hard as a rock, and will never leak again. I did my rust bucket Harley, the whole tank, came out beautiful. Then my Ducati sprung a leak right where yours is, and I did the same thing. It works great. Try POR.com.

How can I tell if my blades actually spin in my dishwasher?

Place them in a known position and start a cycle. When you hear what should be washing action, open the door to see if the positions have changed and if water covers all of the interior. If they don't seem to have moved, you will need to tear down the lower spray unit to the deck noting the position and orientation of each part. There will be at least one screen that is probably plugged with food and hard water deposits--wash any screens in hot water, detergent and white vinegar until clean. Clean any openings in the deck itself that may be clogged with food deposits. Re-assemble in reverse order. Check both spray arms for plugged small spray holes and for split seams. Hope this helps!
