Why does my cigarette lighter keep blowing fuses every time I plug something into it

First make sure you have the right size fuse in it look at your owners manual it should tell you what size to put in there sometimes people blow a fuse and replace it with a weaker fuse it will work for a while till they plug something in that overloads the fuse then blows and if they sell the car the new owners don't know this they just keep replacing it with same type fuse that's in it. Second make sure whatever it is you are plugging in doesn't have a short itself try plugging in something different and see if it blows then if it doesn't then you know where your problem lies.

Fuse blows when I plug in the tv

Check the circuitry that leads the the fuse. Usually when a fuse blows something else is wrong. Something else has failed and is sending too much voltage to the fuse.

Fuse blows when plugged in

I assume it's the fuse in the TV that blows. You more than likely have a bad or shorted low voltage power supply. Probably not worth fixing with the cost of parts & labor.

My tail lights are not working, it keeps blowing my fuse.

1.Unplug your taillights at the sockets and the front running lights from sockets.
2. put in new fuse after unplugging taillights.
3 turn on taillights if fuse blows then the wiring is grounding out somewhere between the switch, fuse panel, and rear and or front parking lights.
4.If fuse does not blow then plug in one socket at a time keep rechecking fuse. when the fuse blows after plugging in a certain socket suspect that one to be bad and replace.

My fuse blows everytime i plug in my sirius radio to cigarette lighter...why?

is that the only device that is blowing a fuse? if it is the only thing blowing your fuse you may need to replace the charger. check the fuse to make sure it is the correct size ( usually 10 amp). check the power adapter to make sure there are no loose connections or anything in the plug that doesn't belong there. unplug the radio from the adapter and plug the adapter in without the radio see if the fuse blows . if it blows replace the adapter. if it doesn't blow the fuse check the adapter to make sure it is the right one make sure the polarity is correct

Turn it on and blows fuse replace fuse and plug it in and it blow

You need to have the receiver serviced. The fuse is blowing because some part in the power supply or amplifier section has failed. A service technician will need to troubleshoot the unit to determine what parts need to be replaced.

Brake lights blows fuses

Please check the brake light wiring there must be somewhere where the live wire is touching the body (earth -) and thus the blowing of the fuses.
Since the plug in had melted so must have the wires insulation top melted somewhere and its now shorting.
Hope this helps.

Unpluged the crt circuit boards. was getting 2-2 code and burning fuses

Okay. now what you have to do is plug one crt back in and try it if the fuse doesnt blow then plug in the second CRT and try it again. then if it still doesnt blow with the two CRts plugged in then plug in the last crt if it blows thats the bad crt, and it will need to be replaced. But when you plug in the bad CRT the fuse will blow. Then let me know which tube as I have a good source for mitsubishi CRTs at real cheap prices.
