Try hitting "fn" key and f7 key at the same time. If that doesn't do anything, look in Intel Graphics control panel running in the task bar and look for a section called HOT KEYS. And disable the HOT KEYS. See if that works.

Put it in uncooked white rice in a a bag or a bowl, over night. It will be working the next morning. Nobody ever believes me when I suggest it until they try it, but it works.
There is nobody that "fixes" a keyboard -- it would cost $50 to $75 for "one-hour-labour",
which is more than the cost of a brand-new keyboard. So, replace the keyboard.
1 . Look for Fn function key - Most laptops have this special key Fn that is next to the Ctrl key on the keyboard. It should have a blue or green color, easy to find.
2 . Look for F1 to F12 functions keys, they are on the top row of the keypad. Look for one has an icon that looks like the touch pad, which is to control the touch pad of your laptop. It maybe F8 or F9 depends on each make of your laptop. These function keys also control the brightness, sound, wireless etc.
3 . Now hold down the Fn key and the F10 key to enable the touch pad, in this example, the Toshiba laptops. You press them again to disable it
4 . If none of the above works, plug in an USB mouse, then check into the Control Panel -> touch pad or mouse configurations. Also, check Device Manager if the touch pad driver is installed and working properly.
Just make sure the sensor usb receiver is properly connected just unplug it and plug it again. and the n press the connect button from sensor and to the keyboard. It will work. Have a nice day and do not forget to rate please...!

Not specific enough but I would run a head cleaner thru it for 10 seconds and see if that improves things and always use the same brand of tape to prevent gum issues.
