Question about Canon DR-7580
Assuming the document going through the scanner looks normal, there are a few things to check. If you open Capture Perfect, you can adjust the contrast and brightness as well as the thresholds. Sometimes different toners react differently to the scanner...paper is a big thing too. Multi-part forms can be tricky to get the settings adjusted so you pick up enough of the text but not that on the other side. If it's still messing up, you can try and get it serviced.
