System keeps Shutting Down

My unit is new and have been using it, when it works it works well but I notices it would just shut down with no warning. My unit just simply shuts off. Fustrated over this can anyone offer assistance? I checked my water level limit sensor and this is not the problem. I attached a hose to it to release the water on it,s own but this does not work. Thanks Calvert Robertson

AC Condenser motor will stop at 1pm but inside unit is still running but no AC. If I turn the AC unit breaker unit off and then an hour later turn it back on. The unit runs fine all day until 1pm. Had a...

Hi, the tech should have been able to figure the stat out with out a manual to see why the condenser is shutting off at 1:00 P.M. This is unusual for this to happen, unless it was winter and this is a heat-pump going into defrost, but just the fan would shut down. Does this unit have a box on it that was installed by your electric company that shuts the unit off during high peak conditions in the summer? This would cause it to shut down at the same time everyday. If not, it would have to be something in the thermostat that is set for it to shut off at that time. It still does not make since, as it would shut both the indoor and outdoor unit off, not just the condenser. Are you saying that just the condenser fan motor is shutting off, but the compressor continues to run until it shuts off on high head pressure when the fan stops, or does the complete outdoor unit shut down fan, compressor and all at that time??. It sounds to me like this outdoor unit has a time delay relay that has a fault in it may be shutting it off at this time daily? Please let me know if its just the condenser fan motor that shuts off, or if the complete unit is shutting off all together, this will help .

Blower turns off after outside unit starts up??

If this is a standard split system, the indoor blower should not shut off after the system starts, it should only shut down after the room has reached the set temperature.
Since the blower seems to be starting, when the outdoor unit does, "correct?", the control system seems to be working properly, so the next step is to look at the motor itself, it sounds like it is getting hot and shutting off. This can be verified by waiting for it to shut off, turn off the power and then carefully feel the motor. If it is very hot, you have a bad motor, or a loose wire to the motor, also a bad capacitor can cause problems also, but in my experience, if it is a bad capacitor, the motor will not start at all.
If this has been helpful, please rate the new guy :)
If you can get me some more information, I can help you further.
Have a great day.

Outdoor A/C unit fan

If the fan and compressor are shutting off. its possible its cycling on a low pressure switch. probably low on freon.

or you have a low ambient kit to keep pressures up during low outdoor temps while ac is running just the fan will shut off, however thats not a typical thing to have a residential system

Keeps filling with water and shutting off.

Air conditioners remove moisture from the air like a dehumidifier does. With portable units it is captured in a removable container and when full will turn the unit off so it won't overflow onto the floor. There should be option for a hose to attach to the bucket which could be run to a drain so you won't have to keep emptying the bucket. Just remember the a/c unit needs to be higher than the drain.

Keeps running after shutting off-does not react to temperature co

it is normal for the system to run on its own without being turned on...the compressor motor needs to cool down and will run in an unloaded state. feel the back of the unit while its running and you will notice the amount of heat the motor generates. let it run.

Air conditioner compressor keeps shutting down

This is due to thermal overload,Which can be caused by low oil in the compressor, the fan has stopped running on the unit outside,Dirty coils,or just a worn out compressor.Although this is thermal overload,It has nothing to do with outside temperature,But rather the internal temperature of the compressor itself.

Compressor keeps shutting off after 30mins or so

The system may be going into cool down mode or thermal over load if the temperature is 104 degrees fahrenheit or above since the compressor will shut down if the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. This could also be from low oil in the compressor.
