Hello: We just had one of those exact heat controls and sold it in our ebay store, I can send you some photos to compare the controls. That specific heat control model is very hard to find and normally you do not see them, I have not found them anywhere else.
We have a cookware store on ebay for the last 5 years and carry some replacement parts for the vintage appliances - you can email me through the ebay store - our ebay store ID is bestcookwareforless! (with the exclamation point at the end) or email me at email@example.com and I will add you to my customer wanted items list. We get excellent pre-owned used heat controls in all the time and are more than happy to help our customers locate a specific one.
All is not lost, so don't throw out your favorite Hoover skillet - they are built like a tank, made to last and very hard to find nowdays. Keep her and get her a new heat control and she will last another 50 years (smile).
Hope we can help you!
Kindest Regards, Jasmine

Miracle Maid Instruction booklets can be found on ebay. I've seen them several times, in fact there are several on today 7/29/2009. Just go to ebay.com and search for Miracle Maid. You may have to search daily, but you'll find them. You'll have to pay a little, but you can send in all your pots and pans and get replacements with one of those books. I had my pots and pans for 30+ years and now I have the new ones that replaced those. I'm thinking they will last 30 years too! Good Luck!

You can find replacement cords for many counter top appliances at most appliance and building supply stores. Try Ace, Home Depot, Lowes. Take the cooker with you to make sure you are getting the correct cord.
