Question about Dream Maker Spas Dream Maker Ez Spa Hot Tub

Open Question

I have a Dream Maker Trident 2007 - when two people are in the tub a significant amount of water comes up the back of the chairs and splashes out - Is it possible that a shorter filter will solve the problem or is there another solution? - the filter I have is 4x8 - can a shorter one be used? Would a shorter filter provide enough air and yet leave the right amount of water in the tub - without sucking air after the tub has been vacated? We are loosing 6"-8" of water each time it is in use

SOURCE: my dream maker hot tub keeps needing to be reset

Your heating element is going to ground and 'leaking' current. The GFCI is picking it up and you will need a new element.

SOURCE: motor will not come on.

OH stands for Over Heat situation.
If the motor is not working at all, you are getting the OH code because of that. The OH happens when there is not enough circulation in the hot tub which causes the water near the heater to overheat the sensor located in that area. It sounds like either the pump has failed, the wiring has shorted to the motor, or the control board is not telling the pump to come on.
Its probably a bad motor since the heater is obviously activating, which it wouldnt if the pumps motor was getting no power. Replace motor and all should be well again.

1. Check equipment like pump, heater, blower, light fixture, for leaks.
2. Remove side panels closest to the are the leak is showing and inspect jets, plumbing in that area for leaks. If insulation is foam, remove any water saturated foam and follow it to the source of leak.

3. If the leak is in plumbing and is very slow, sometimes it can be resolved with "stop leak" products.

Error code 09

During that 15 seconds, do you see the water moving in the spa?
If not then normally, that means the pump has not primed fully - hence the 09 Error Code. Pump could have a clog internally, but most likely problem, Dirty Filter.

My dream maker spa at temp outside 40 is heating water till only 80 dont know what to do.

Hi,
This is common when your Heater element is bad.
The friction of the water moving through the pump typically will raise the water to around 80.

I just installed my new X400 Dreamaker Spa. I filled it with water (although cold) and it has been warming up for approx. 18 hours and is only at 80 degrees? Is this normal? How long should it take to...

This is normal with the dream maker spa. The dream maker spas are poorly insulated, and only run 120 volts with a very small heater.
When the unit is first filled, the hot tub will not heat full time either. Most new hot tubs will have freeze protection below 50 degrees F. They will recirculate automatically using the friction and the pumps heat to warm the water above 50 degrees, and then the heating unit will kick on. These hot tubs do not heat while the jets are on high either, so once you are in it using the jets on high, the temperature will start to fall.

Now that you are up to 80 degrees, it should heat up fairly quick however.

Easy spa round - dream maker - overheat sensor is showing but can't get rid of it even when tub has cooled. Have tried unplugging and starting again. :(

Assuming that you've got adequate water flow, clean/new filter and the pump works as it should; Try a new sensor. They can and do sometimes fail and the sensor is much cheaper than the PCB. ;)
