SOURCE: My Scotts 3000 spreader has a spring that closes

You can use almost any spring with the same or close tension. Lowes and Home-Depot carry an assortment of springs.

The pressed foot is stuck in the down position how do I fix it?

THE FOOT HAS A SLIDE ON THE BOTTOM - TAKE IT OFF. YOU MAY HAVE TO TAP ON IT TO GET IT OFF.
THERE IS A SPRING THAT MAKES THE FOOT OPERATE. IT HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED SOMEHOW. IT WILL NEED TO BE FORCED INTO PLACE. WHEN IT IS RETURNED TO THE PROPER POSITION THE PEDAL WILL WORK. THERE IS A REASON THE PRESSURE HAS BEEN RELEASED. A BROKEN TAB OR POSSIBLY THE SPRING ITSELF HAS BROKEN.

TURN SIGNAL DOES NOT WORK ALL THE TIME WITHOUT HOLDING IT... ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS DAMP OUTSIDE. IT WORKS FINE FOR WIPERS AND HEADLGHTS. WHAT COULD BE THE CAUSE?

The plate that operates the turn handle when you come out of a turn is controlled by springs. These springs may be broken or what they are attached to may be broken. Best to replace the unit.

Door latch

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Open Lever If the microwave door won't open the open lever might be broken. This part can be replaced separately.

Door Spring If the microwave door won't open the door spring may have broken. The door spring is located inside the door and keeps downward pressure on the door hook.

Door Latch If the microwave door won't open the door latch might be broken. The door latch is inside the microwave. The door hook, which is part of the door, engages with the latch to keep the door closed during operation. If the door latch or actuator breaks the door may not open.

Door Hook If the microwave door won't open the door hook might not be releasing properly. The door hook is installed inside the door and normally releases when the door is opened. The hook is made of plastic and will break over time. When this happens it will need to be replaced, it can't be repaired.

Button Spring If the microwave door won't open the button spring might be broken internally. The button spring can be replaced.
Button If the microwave door won't open the button might be broken internally. The button can be replaced.

Handle Actuator If the microwave door won't open the handle actuator might be broken. This is a plastic part which can become brittle over time. This part is connected between the door button and the door latch assembly.

When the solonoid operates it counts on the door spring to open the door. Your spring may be broken or not operating or sticking.

I have a stanley garage door opener model # ST205.A09 When it opens it goes up too far and when it closes it comes down with alot of force. When this first started it went up about 2 feet then came down....

Make sure the counter balance springs are ok. Most garage doors have 2 springs to provide counter balance for the door. Your garge door opener may have enough power to still operate even with one springs broken however with one springs broken would hit pretty hard. It the springs look ok I would release the door from the opener (while in the down position) using the little rope that hangs down and operate the door by hand to ensure it goes up and down smoothly. Most problems are due to friction caused by bad rollers or failed springs. If this is not the issue let me know.
Hope this helps

I have a frigidaire model fmv156dbf and the door latch will no longer operate. when i opened up the door i saw that the spring that is supposed to operate the latch was no longer attached. where the spring...

We have the service manual and have uploaded it to our site here to help you.

Normally the problem is not the spring, but a broken spring mounting tab on the door latch head (hook) assembly or the inner door panel.

If it's the door panel, it's usually easier and cheaper to use epoxy and some kind of hardware to fashion a new spring mount.

The door latch head (hook) is easy to replace or repair if that's the issue.

You can order parts here if needed.

Remove the pieces of the old spring and take it to any OSH store, they have an assortment that will likely have one that will work.

Door operators when it is disconnected

You might have a broken spring. Check on the a the header above the door there should be a tude with a drum on each end and 2 springs (maybe one) towards the center. If one of the springs has a gap (1-2 inches) in it. If it does you will need to call a door company in your area. I recommend you replace both springs. If you need to get you cars out some times you can help the operator to lift the door by lifting the door while the operator is lifting the door. Be very careful not to get your fingers in a pinch point and be sure to lower the door the same way.
