New Targus wireless mouse not working?????

  • JeromeG Jan 06, 2008

Same thing. I installed new batteries, cleaned off and checked the connections, and pressed that little button on the bottom till I got tired. Nothing. Strangely the keyboard is working fine - just nothing from the mouse.

My computer doesn't recognize the mouse when I turn it on (even base LED isn't lit), only after restarting. That is, if it's connected to the PS/2 port. If the mouse is connected to the USB it works fine. Help, please!

excuse my english, I'm french. Well, my mouse worked for a few months and suddenly, it stoped working. I thought it was the batteries so I changed them and also the keyboard ones, but without effect.
My keyboard goes on working without problem but my mouse no.
when I press the detection button and then the other one under the mouse, nothing happens.
Since that I formatted my hard drive and reinstalled win xp (for another reasons) but the problem is the same.

Mouse model 1007 does not work. lights are both lit one on mouse one on receiver but cursor doesnt move. hit the connect button and still nothing. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Remove the battery and put it back again

Try plugging the receiver in a new USB port and install the drivers again. If it is already installed, make sure the Mouse is being detected by viewing it in Device manager.

After following the above steps, you can press the connect button to sync up with the receiver.

The issue can most probably be related to corrupted/hang drivers so you can try restarting the computer and changing USB slot for receiver.

MS Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 scroll wheel only scrolls down

There are number of reasons and solutions why your mouse isn't working properly. No.1. Resynchronize your mouse to the Pc. It's best to use the reset button for resynchronization. No. 2. Change the Port (Usb port). Sometimes even the small problem with the port created this problem. No.3. Replace the battery. If you are sure about the battery is Live, you can try with another make eg. Sony to Everydy. No.4. Interfaces Problem. Make sure that no electronic items, metal box, Speaker, etc doesn't obstruct the connection. No.5. Driver Update. Update the driver to the latest version. You must update from the particular website. If you are using Microsoft product, you must update the driver from the Microsoft's website. No.6. Different System. Try out the device on several devices not only one. If you still have difficulty, you can visit this site for more details. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/838398 Good luck

Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0 - low battery pop up

I would disregard the pop up as in most cases the batteries are still good. I'd use the mouse till it stopped functioning. Why it does that I haven't figured out yet. I beleive a value has to be changed in the Registry. If I figure it out I will let you know.

Couldn't find the answer to the right click mouse button not working.

Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it to Reset/Connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly.
If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud
