Do adjustments on focus block. Will have to open front panel access door, focus block blue will be on left, green will be on top. Top screen bottom focus. Turn clockwise to increase, counter clockwise to decrease brightness. Turn the color all the way down on menu where it's pure black and white and make adjustments for perfect black and white picture, then when you adjust color, it will be perfect.

You have a posted a generic question for a complaint of AFT . This is related to a number of reason for which more information is required. You have to check the gain on the TUNER , check the IF sections and see if the AGC is working.
It is important to study the signals before the fault is comfirmed. Check the gain on this section for signal processing. If not the VIF/SIF IC can be weak.

AFT is Automatic Fine Tuning. All of the set up instructions are in your manual. I can look for an online manual, but I need your model number to do that. There is must another number other than 42LC2D unless this is an older TV, since I could not locate an online download for a manual. You can also chat with a troubleshooter from LG at

betaspace, Stop fooling around with the remote! The W2600 is broke. You will not fix it. Here are the options you as a consumer/user have. 1. Dell warranty? Check with Dell and claim premature failure of the set. Maybe they'll tell you to take a hike. Who knows? 2. See if they have a swapout program. You send them your's + some cash and they ship you a refurbished same model in return. 3 Contract a local TV/LCD monitor service center that knows forwards and backwards all about SMPS's/CCF lighting and their inverter power source. That's about all I can tell you to do. If you ever need to ship any kind of plasma or lcd display follow this rule! NOTHING but a layer of pure AIR 4" thick should ever be allowed to contact the viewing screen. Only AIR! No feather pillows! No styrofoam popcorn shipping material! No crumpled-up newspapers! That's most likely something internally wrong with the television, and would need to be serviced by the manufacturer, or an authorized repair center.

Be very carefull replacing the fluid as leaks will short stuff out and are messy.
