Get online if you can with an ethernet cable and go to windows update. When update scans your system and finishes, choose custom install and look for the optional hardware downloads. These will be all the updated drivers for your system. Click on all the ones you want and click download. Try not to download too many of the priority downloads, or your system may hang. Downloads like Explorer 8 and netframework 3.5 are large and should be downloaded by themselves. Good luck

You downloaded the drivers? Did you install them?
After downloading, you Double-clicked on the file, then followed the instructions of the Installation Wizard?

Which driver did you install?

The RealTek LAN Driver for Windows XP (v.5.621.304.2005; 12-06-2005; 2M),

Or, the Intel PRO 10/100 Model Driver v.8.0.43.0
(v8.0.43.0; 12-18-2006; 425K)

I have recently installed a new copy of windows xp pro to my laptop and it will not recognise the wireless adapter

Hi gauntle,

Most version of windows XP doesnt have drivers for the wireless adapters, you have to download the driver for your laptop, from your laptop vendor website.....

NOTE: if you give me your laptop make and model number i can suggest you the link to sownload the drive....

Or if u dont have the access to internet, ask your vendor for deriver, some vendor may given you CD containing the driver
