Question about HP Computers & Internet
If you still have the other half of the pen, try applying a small amount of super glue to the broken end and push it back into the slot. Let it sit for 10 minutes (to be sure it dried) and extract accordingly.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

you're probably resting your hand while you're writing...
this happend to me when i attempted to draw/write/what have you.
the computer can't differentiate between the pen tip and your hand, so what you need to do is disable your finger as a pointing device:
1) go to control panel
2) click on the mobile pc
3) go to pen and input devices
4) you should see a TOUCH tab. click on it.
5) uncheck the box that says "Use your finger as an input device."
This should help. obviously, you lose the capability to use your finger, and the whole idea of touchscreen in general, but you can always enable this after drawing or taking notes.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: how to make bootable pen drive
A FEW THINGS BEFORE YOU DO THIS....
1. Your Laptop has to support booting from a PEN DRIVE. Some BIOS's may refer to your pen drive as a USB floppy or USB zip.
2. The USB flash(pen) drive must support booting from it in general.
3. The flash drive must contain the boot/system files.
4. Below is a utility from HP that you can use to make your pen drive bootable.

There is DEFINITELY A PEN IN THE CX2620 stylii. I just replaced mine with a AAAA battery. The old one (which is a AAAA size, you can find these inside 9-volt batteries) had acid buildup on its positive end and that is why the pen went inactive. There is a lot of debate over this pen problem and I guarantee 90% of the time it's related to the battery. I can do a clean replace on anybody's CX2620 pen/stylii with a fresh battery for $10. If interested email me at email@example.com . You pay for shipping, your total about $17 or so. I have never done this before but I just replaced mine flawlessly so I can do others. I know there are a lot of dead stylii out there and people don't know what to do, took me a while to figure it out. By the way, I'm also considering starting the class action suit against Gateway for the pen problem if I get enough people, so let me know if you're interested in that too.
Thanks, Kevin Teman firstname.lastname@example.org
