Question about Insignia Televison & Video
I believe it is for Sony Devices Digital Output. You should be able to hook up your TV via High Def or using a Monitor cable. Your laptop should recognize this as a second monitor and you can choose to mirror or extend your display in control panel. You can also select your default audio output as the TV while its attached. When you use component audio, it may shut off the side a/v audio settings. Try restoring all defualts (any changes you have made will be lost by doing so) according to p. 32 of the manual:
Menu --> Setup --> Reset --> Yes

I HAVE A ILIVE SOUND BAR,YOU WILL HAVE TO HOOK IT UP THROUGH A POWER SOURCE WITH YOUR RCA CABLES I ROUTED MIND THROUGH DIRECT TV RECEIVER. WORKS GREAT. HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU.

In about 90% of the time the power supply is defective if the TV fails to power ON.
