Won't run It had been working find. Now it won't start. It is getting power. I am a little concerned I put a magnet on the side. Would that cause any problem with the dryer?

If you have since removed the magnet, I would not be concerned. It could be just a coincidence. On the back of the dryer may be an electric schematic. If not you may find one by Googling your unit, or check Repairclinic.com. The schematic will show that the juice to run your unit goes thru the door switch, the start switch, and lots of other places. Definately see if your unit has a built in fuse. With the unit unplugged, check out the circuit with a multimeter. Keep in mind that 220 circuits come in from both ends and meet in the middle, dangerous all around when live. If you are comfortable working with live circuits, you may find the bad part will have 220 volts going to it, but not through it. This test takes practice, not for a beginner. If you can't find an easy answer, call a pro.

Developer power cannot put over the Magnet roller correctly. some gabe on the magnet roller

It sounds like either you contaminated the mag roller or there is a loose connection that causes the mag roller to charge. You might have to just order a new developing unit.

Sole treadmill says "INITIAL" on the screen and won't run. This occurred after I removed the magnetic emergency stop switch.

Normally you must put the key in the hole, after you press the button start and ready.
However I recommend you to follow the instr. manual for easy start. Since that every manufacturer has a little diferrent mode of start. If you do not have it download free from
www.fitness.manualsonline.com
God bless you

How to remove magnets from sharp carousel microwave

If the oven has not run for a few minutes and is not plugged in, there is very little chance that the high voltage capacitor has any charge stored on it.

If you're still concerned about getting a zap that might make you get a cut when you pull back your hand on the sharp metal inside the microwave, you can discharge the capacitor. Here's how.

The magnets are in the magnetron.

Makita concrete saw, no spark, new ignition coil.

Check clearance between the coil and magnet, too far away and magnetic field won't generate.

What's your problem? Computer is on but screen appears blank.

this is most likely caused by the 'screen on' switch - on some pc laptops its an actual switch and you can identify it because its a plastic pin protruding near the hinge and when you close the lid the pin is depressed turning off the screen it may have become stuck in the don position turning off the screen on some PC laptops its a magnetic switch and can be re-activated by running a small magnet along the hinge or along the outer lower edge of the laptop near the touch-pad - If neither of these work try restarting in 'Safe Mode' by pressing 'F8' repeatedly on start-up and selecting safe mode, then changing what ' closing the lid does ' by clicking on 'Start - Control Panel- Power Options'..No screen still after trying to get to 'Safe Mode' means you may need a new screen replacement...
If the magnet works then keep all little magnets away from your laptop in future - this includes those little annoying ones at the tip of some devices like mechanical clutch pencils, cellphone cases, and other small cases that do not have a visible latch to close them.....

I just put a new fuel pump on a 1992 ford explorer because it would run for awhile and then it will start hasitating real bad like it aint getting any gas up to the motor, and it sounds like it want to cut...

it sound like you may have a problem with your fuel cut of switch ,i think a 92 has one , passenger side up under dash , most models has a reset , wiggle it around clean it with some electrical parts wash 9$ 14$ local auto parts store look for rust and condesation around it before removing it to clean, also open fuse box and find the re-lay clean it to.its actualy a magnet across the conections and completes the circiut, if you have a fender bender the magnet gets nocked off and cuts the power to the fuel pump.if its not under the dash check your owners manuel to find out were its located and if a 92 has one

Took brushes out to check and cannot get kitchenaid mixer to work.

Look at the brush from the side.. The surface that rides on the armature is curved> One leg is longer than the other leg. The long leg is the trailing and the short is the leading edge. Looking at the cooper end of the motor you can tell which way the motor rotates by the traces the brushes make. The leading edge will be on the clean side and the trailing edge is the side that is smeared black.on tthe copper. The long leg of the curve on each brush goes on the smearch side of those copper bars the brush rides on. Both brushes. Looking in the hole of the brush holders you will see what I mean. When you put the brushes in, you must make sure they are up against the copper and the springs are holding them down evenly.. You can lift the brush carefully and let it go to make sure it is working freely. Now, see if you can put an attachment on and turn it by hand. I'm not sure you will be able to so don't bend anything or hurt yourself.. Put the brush caps back on, remove the attachment and plug the mixer in.. Attachments off, fingers clear, turn it on. Does it run? If not, tap the mixer on its side with your hand.. Make sure the switch is on high. Tap it several times if need be. This is to straighten up the brushes to where the springs want them. When the motor starts turning, slight taps help. Keep it going until it picks up speed and let run for five minutes to seat the brushes. Let me know if it still won't run. I'll be watching for a comment from you.

Homelite portable generator, LRIE4400...no out put fr unit..has been discontinued fr a few yrs..no parts available..known fr circuit board failure..my dad's , maby 50hr on unit..how can I bypass..or obtain...

If the engine is running but no output from the plugs....the VERY common problem is loss of magnetism in the generator after storage.
With the generator off.........
Look at the side of the generator part.....do you see a small + and - on any terminals?
You may have to take a cover off.
Take a 9 volt battery and momentarily put current from this small battery through these terminals.
Now.....start her up and check for power at the plugs.
This fixes 75% of "no output" after being "stored" generators.

Flywheel magnet came loose

Hello, my name is Mark
Sorry to say but the only way to fix it is to replace the flywheel. After you put the new flywheel on you will have to double check the gap between the flywheel and the coil if you take a business card it should just fit between and should be a little snug. If the coil is off a little you will have problems starting. You can adjust the gap by loosening the 2 bolts on top of the coil lust enough that you can tap the coil towards the flywheel, just before you loosen the bolts turn the flywheel so the magnets on the flywheel are not where the coil sits but just to one side or the other of the coil, then set the gap, tighten the bolts and turn the magnets are where the coil is with the business card in between. It should be fairly snug to where you can just get the card out and not tear it in any way. Put your cover on and check for spark and you should be ok. Any questions please feel free to ask. Good luck and have a nice day.
