Question about GE WPGT9360EPL Top Load Washer

2 Answers

Water Useage Not sure of the exact model number so here is a description. It's a GE Profile washer/dryer with the electronic screen controls. My problem is that it seems like it does not use enough water to wash the load. Everything is working but I want to know if the load sensor is adustable so more water will enter the tub for washing. Is there a calibration mode for this. I have been unsuccessful in finding anything on my own and I do not want to pay for a service call if there is no adjustment. I will just have to live with the way it is.

Thanks for the help, I look forward to being able to answering someone elses question. The water levels seem to be fine according to Soluion #1 and it cycles normal as far as I can tell. I guess I will just have to use a stronger detergent or adjust the cycles for a more thurough wash because overly dirty garments still retain some odor after a wash. I don't recall having to do this when it was new but I think it solve the problem. Thanks again, at least I know that it is functioning normal.

I have always had problems with "Low Water" machines getting dirty loads clean. Odors and stains!!! I am currently adding TWO buckets of water to the wash cycle and the Machine works VERY WELL!! Like It Is Suppose To!! To extend the wash and rinse cycles the wash time goes up to TWO HOURS, This just is not functional in a house with three active kids!!

I NEED to get MORE WATER in this machine!!

There has to be an ADJUSTMENT or Modification to the Water Level Sytem!!! This thing is about to go to the curb for an older machine!!!!

Mirrado, you want to determine if the pressure sensor is operating normal. Set the wash cycle to sneakers. This will bypass the load sensor and default to the minimum water level. The water should be about 2 inches deep from the center hub. Next set the wash cycle to comforter. This will bypass the load sensor and default to a maximum fill. The water should be about 11 inches deep. If you are in this range the fill is o.k. Usually the Harmony will give you an error if the pressure switch is not operation normally. No adjustments. If the machine works fine and runs through the programme without stopping, then never adjust anything on the machine to alter settings, this can cause more problems, computer control machines do the job very well under normal circumstances, the drum will hold sufficient water even if you can not see it for the clothes it holds, just to confirm this why not do a wash while no clothes so you will be reassured of the fact. i am a recently retired engineer of 20 years experience, and often have to reassure many people of this, don't worry of it works

Replaced motor in ge profile washer now nothing happens when plugged in

Make sure your wire harness is plugged into the motor securely and also inspect the pins on the motor to make sure they aren't bent and make sure the motors part number match up with the old motor along with the different wires if its the wrong motor which a parts house can by mistake order the wrong one it wont work. Also does this washer have the electronic control board with the lights at the top or a led screen? If so might not be the motor might be a bad control board. I will stand by if you have further questions.

Icemaker over fills G E profile

To be sure I would need your model number of your profile. If the electronic it will not be adjustable. Do you know for sure that the water control valve is not leaking? I am going to point you to a site that may help you locate model numbers. GE now makes the bottom freezer profile and I don't want to mix it up by guessing.

GE Profile Refrig model PSC23SGRC ice maker stopped making ice. Water is ok, just stopped? Is this common? Its only 4 yrs old

Your model has an electronic ice maker part number Click Here=> WR30X10093 When the electronic ice maker fails you usually need to replace the complete ice maker. You can test the ice maker by filling the tray with tap water. If the water freezes aand then drops the ice then the water control on the back of your refrigerator is the reason. The water control valve is Click Here=> WR57X10032 Either way let me know your results, Thank You, Sea Breeze

Water leaks under washer on floor - olderGE profile

I see Eric C was correct, that you did not post your correct model number. You did say older GE, and from your description it sounds like you need to replace the WH23X42 water pump (about $50). It is one 1/4 inch clamp on the bottom holding on the flexible drive, three 5/16 hex head screws mounting the pump body to machine, and four squeeze style spring clamps holding the hoses. (be ready to catch the water when you remove hoses)

It sounds like your drain hose is kinked or blocked, or maybe the pipe that the drain hose drains into is blocked. Somehow water is now being allowed to get out of the machine at the end of the cycle and is staying in the machine. Check those hoses and pipes.

Have GE Profile Washer Model # WPRB 9250. Was working fine and then I came home from work yesterday and the normal electronic display looked odd - it was all black except for the time remaining screen...

The code means "excessive drive system brake time" which means there is a problem stopping your drum in normal amount of time. Sometimes there is a small leak down on breaks and controls. It can also be a simple computer glitch in which case you need to reset your washer. if you open your control panel in the back there should be a sheet of paper with detailed descriptions of all the error codes and how to reset your washer( push certain buttons in allotted amount of time)

If the reset doesn't work I'm afraid you are looking at a pretty costly repair..

Good luck

GE Profile Electric Dryer, Blower nt getting up to speed

On all the ones I've seen with this problem, they've needed a new blower motor. Don't take that as the golden answer because even G.E. tech support doesn't know. It could be the control board, but I haven't seen that yet. G.E. always recommends replacing the inlet thermister, which is accessed through a little cover on the back. Good luck & welcome to the wonderful world of complex electronic appliances.
