Re: no sound

Sounds like poor wiring connections. Also, if one speaker shorts out, ALL speakers will shut off, so make sure there aren't any loose wires behind the radio or at the speakers. Sometimes wires get pinched in the door jamb and create a short as well.

The fault code refers to a CD changer error. More than likely you are looking at buying a new radio. Sorry for the bad news.

Most after-market decks are supplied with two separate leads for power. One needs to be connected to a "constantly on" source (such as the car battery) to maintain time, memory presets, etc. The other, is connected to the switched power source if you want the radio to shut off automatically when the key is switched off - or connected to the same constantly on source if you want to be able to turn the radio even without a key. The latter method will require that you manually turn the radio on AND off. If you forget to shut it off, you'll probably find a dead battery the next day.

It sounds as if you have connected both of these wires to the switched power source. You'll need to review the wiring diagram for the radio and make the wiring change to have it work the way you expect. Many times, purchasing the vehicle specific wiring harness

for an aftermarket radio makes this much easier. If you cut the old connectors off 9a16381.gifthe car's wiring harness - it's too late to do that. But if it is still intact, you should be able to find the plug in harness at Best Buy (or similar), any of the many smaller, independent automotive electronics shops, and internet shops like Crutchfield.

My radio cuts off and says call whenever i am driving

Hi Call on display means Call Service.

That means that a short or an incorrect voltage had been detected. The unit goes off to prevent further damage.

If this happens with vibration, or when turning on the ignition then it is usually a bad wiring at the back of the unit.

2009 Suzuki SX4, word TELEPHONE displays as radio cuts out

my 2009 does that when my blue tooth phone that is paired to my gps device is in operation. when receiving or placing calls my gps uses the radio as a hands free device. it mutes the radio so the call can be heard. don't know why it would be doing that if you didn't set it up that way, but that is the purpose.

Kenwood KdcMp442 Sound cutting out while driving

so you've either got a broken speaker wire somewhere in the vehicle or a loose connection at a speaker. do a wiggle test. have the radio on, car still, and go around and wiggle wires, at the radio, inside the door panels, everywhere. you can shake the radio a bit too. if you're confident that your wiring is all perfect then you've got a faulty connection inside the radio's circuitry itself.

What happened with this unit, I mean it gives me sound on fm or am, however on cd, usb, aux option does not, even though it displays in the screen it is playing.

It sounds like it could be the sound chip. If your fm/am radio is playing sound then the internal amp is fine however CD/AUX functions use a separate sound chip. Have you wired it to an external amplifier?
