Press and hold PAIRING in the back of subwoofer for more than 5 sec,

Unplug the power cord of the soundbar and the wireless subwoofer.
Connect then again after the LED of the main unit and the wireless subwoofer fully turned off.

How should I hook this up to a Sony hi-fi stereo?

I would try going into the menu settings on your receiver to make sure that the subwoofer is turned on or that the volume is turned up. If it is a powered subwoofer you can try hooking the output of a phone or an iPod to the input cable just to test and see if you are getting sound through the subwoofer. If that seems to be working ok then you know the problem lies with the receiver.

Can i connect my cellphone to the subwoofer?

You can try one of two ways:

1. If your speaker has a headphone jack, you can connect your cellphone to the speaker headphone jack-to-headphone jack using an audio cable with headphone plugs at both ends.

2. If your speaker/subwoofer combination is Bluetooth-enabled, pair your cellphone with the Bluetooth speaker.

Hope this helps.

What wire do I plug in for the subwoofer cause I I have read cables but there's 2 and I only have 1 connection for the sub on the back of the stereo

This subwoofer is probably powered directly from the amplifier and doesn't have an internal amp. The connections are probably the same type as for any other speakers. And, there are probably additional connections for the rest of the speakers. The connection on your amp is likely an RCA phono plug connector that sends low level signals to a powered subwoofer. To connect a passive subwoofer, one without a built-in amp, the main speaker outputs connect to the subwoofer and are then sent to the regular speakers connected to additional terminals on the subwoofer. You may need an owner's manual for the subwoofer to determine how it should be connected.

LFE or Subwoofer

Connect the Subwoofer connection on the receiver to the LFE connection on the subwoofer.

The normal connection on the subwoofer is for connecting a full range signal, from which the sub extracts bass via its internal crossover.

Cant get my subwoofer to turn on that is connected to my yamaha receiver

MAke sure you have the lfe output enabled. Or you could try to use a headphone to rca adapter from a cd player/phone to test it directly.

Kicker comp 12'' subwoofer swingarms snapped

when you say swing arms i assume you are talking about the wires connecting the terminal (where you connect the wires to the sub) to the voice coil (the center of the sub).

If these are broken it is tricky to solder new wires back on. If your sub is still under warranty i would suggest sending it back to them. below is there number and business hours.

Conncet a sony sub to a denon reciver

Depending on the model, there are two ways to connect a subwoofer to an amplifier, receiver or processor. The best way is to connect the subwoofer to the SUB OUT or LFE output of a receiver, but some subwoofers can be connected to the speaker level outputs of the receiver or amplifier.

1. How to Connect a Subwoofer to the Subwoofer Output

The preferred method of connecting a subwoofer is through the LFE or Subwoofer output (SUB OUT) of a receiver. Almost all home theater receivers (or processors) and some stereo receivers have a subwoofer output. The LFE (Low Frequency Effects) is a special output for subwoofers and is often labeled 'SUBWOOFER' not LFE. 5.1 channel programs on DVD discs have a dedicated .1 channel output with bass-only content that is best reproduced by a subwoofer. Connect the output of the LFE or Subwoofer jack to the Line In jacks of the subwoofer using a single RCA cable (the two jacks on the left in the photo). A 'Y-Cable' may be necessary to connect the LFE output to both the left and right channels of the subwoofer.

2. How to Connect a Subwoofer to Speaker Level Outputs
Some receivers and amplifiers do not have an LFE or Subwoofer output. In this case you can use the speaker outputs of the receiver to connect the subwoofer. Using speaker wire, connect the left and right channel speaker outputs of the receiver to the left and right channel speaker level inputs on the subwoofer (the speaker inputs on the right side of the photo). Using speaker wire, connect the left and right channel speaker outputs on the back of the subwoofer to the left and right channel front speakers.

Hope it helped..

THERE IS NO SIGNAL COMING FROM THE SUBWOOFER, IT IS CONNECTED TO A SONY AMPLIFIER IN THE SUBWOOFER JACK, AND CONNECTED TO THE SUBWOOFER IN THE LOW LEVEL INPUT. THE SUBWOOFER IS CONNECTED TO THE MAIN, AND...

With everything connected correctly there could be a couple of possible problems:

1. If your receiver has on screen display capabilities, you may need to turn the subwoofer output "on"
2. If your subwoofer has speaker wire inputs/outputs, you could run speaker wire to it, then to your speakers & test if the subwoofer is working... hence verifying that the receiver has a function to turn the subwoofer output on/off
3. The cable between the subwoofer & receiver could be bad. Try another cable.

Good luck!
