How do I remove the grille?

So it is a Kenmore?

Cleaning coils is and engineer issue not a consumer task normally. Consumers usually just clean the inlet or outlet filters which should protect the coils from dust build up.

I did mind a few years ago. It involves removing lots of screws and panels. Do it next to a table and keep everything in the order you take it apart. Take pictures with your cellphone.

Beware of the coil fins as they are like razors.

Frgidaire dehumidifyer runs but coils do not get cold

the condenser is probably clogged with dust thus restricting the air flow required to cool it down. if it has a filter on the front, take it out and clean it. if it does not, try to remove the front cover and, using a stiff bristled brush and simple green, clean the fins on the condenser then hose it down. if there, then, is no air flow, check the fan. replace if necessary.

empty the tank, and clean the dust off of the condenser in the front or clean the filter. if it still won't turn on, may have a bad sensor or a siezed compressor.

My dehimidifier is not draining thrrough the hose

Run a straightened coat hanger through hose or try to blow through. Or connect to faucet to clean out clog.
Make sure drip pan is clean & level. Basically vacuum any dust from inside drain area.

Water leaks from the bottom front under the bucket. Bucket does NOT leak. Attached a piece of tubing from the outlet to the bucket to no avail. still leaks. No visibe cracks anywhere.

Try cleaning the filter first. Wash it with water and let it dry overnight. Then make sure no debris is blocking the inside of the spiggot which fills the pan. The spiggot can get blocked by dust anddebris or insect webs. Clean thoroughly with a rag and your finger.

Dehumidifier runs but does not collect water

you must also clean the fins on the front. remove the plastic case and use compressed air or coil cleaner to clean out the dust and dirt on the condenser coils. if there is not enough air flow, the freon will not cool enough.

Icing up on our dehumidifier

typically happens when there is a lot of dust in air. Try cleaning it VERY well, which would mean, shutting it for a few days, letting it melt and dry off, then not only vacuuming it, but then take an air gun (or Air in a can) and get the dust off the coils. Obviously if there is a filter clean it, or replace it.
Check for bent fins on the coil. Most of the newer ones (and yours should as well) have an auto defrost to help with that.
Good luck

Should I clean or replace the air filter?

You can wash the filter with water, no problem. However, I would recommend replacing the filter every 3 to 4 months depending on how much you use the dehumidifier. The exposure to constant moisture will cause the filter to grow mold over time.
