Question about RCA CC6251 VHS-C Analog Camcorder
Here's what happened...I bought the camcorder at a yard sale...it worked ...till I got it home...then the battery went dead. I went to eject the tape...only , the tape wont come out...(at the time I did not realize that the thing wont open without the battery)..So, Like an idiot I stuck a screwdriver into the tape locking mechanism...I got the tape out..but now...it wont recognize when a tape is in.
Sounds like you broke the sensor. Not exactly a DIY fix... It'll probably run around $50-80 to repair it.
