Question about Targus (AMU02US) Mouse
I have a Targus mouse with retractable cord. The cord winds up fine, but won't lock in place when I extend it out. How do I fix this?
When fully extended (you have to hold the cord in place since it won't lock), slide the rectractable device down the cord until it is butted up against the USB connector. You can use the mouse with no problems like this. When you are done, slide the retractor back to the middle of the cord and the ends will wind back in. It's not a perfect solution but at least makes the mouse usable.

Following on to the above solution, I held the full length of the cable out, and moved the retractor just a little, to a new position along the cable. It seems to work fine now. Maybe the cable got slighty deformed in that one spot, and moving it gave it a fresh start.
