Question about Efficient Networks SpeedStream 5360 DSL/Cable Modem (SPEEDSTREAM5360)
Can anyone help me to switch from a "new" modem provided by Earthlink back to my trusty Speedstream 5360 modem? I assumed the new DSL modem would be faster than my old one, but it is S-L-O-W and I cannot figure out how to switch back. I'm running Mac OS10.4.11, have the DSL going into the modem, an ethernet cable going from the modem to a new D-Link gaming router, another ethernet cable going from the router to a new D-Link switch, and then two cables to two computers, two other cables to two printers. Old-fashioned, but it works. What I cannot figure out is how to tell my computer to talk to the old modem, not the new one. Or why this has all ground to a dizzle. Have been with earthlink on the same line for years, and it's either the modem or something in the lines. Probably simple, but I'm stumped and frustrated. Thanks very much.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I have Centurytel myself, so maybe I can help:
A link to your Speedstream 5100 router:
And the typical setup for the westell 6100 that centurytel uses:
Centurytel will provide you with your username and password.
Hope this helps.

What you need to do is download a driver for it. Go to http://www.google.com and search for the modem drivers. Please remember to give this solution a good rating.

SOURCE: Speadsream 5200 E240
modems are now shipped with the Hardware firewall turned on low to block things, and also Telnet..
Turned it off and then it should also all fixed.
there is methods of hacking this unit as well
Step 1: you have to make sure your IP is set to 192.168.2.2
Step 2: Go to »192.168.2.1/pfwizardj.cgi?code=E···retain=f and set "All Items" under "Profile Configuration Access" click next and choose "Do not require admin login"
Step2: Go to »192.168.2.1/pfwizardj.cgi?code=E···retain=f and do the same thing, except type 192.168.2.2 as your "Constant Profile IP Address".
(if everything went ok, you should now see the new configuration page)
From here, you have to access every configuration page manually.
Here they are:
