You have to bond with the recognized bluetooth. Pair with that and send the file. You will be able to send the file using your bluetooth.

If you're trying to send/receive files via Bluetooth, you'll need to go into the Windows Marketplace and download a Bluetooth File Send application. The Bluetooth that comes with most mobile phones is restricted to using Bluetooth Headsets.

When i turn on my bluetooth this error msg appears " unable to perform bluetooth operation".

You will get this message when you try to send a system file. Rename first the file name, its extension and send it. After transferring it to the other phone, rename it back to the original file name and its extension.

Blackberry 8120 bluetooth

First off, did you pair with the phone? Open up your bluetooth menu (under settings) and search for the other phone. After you pair (the passkey is what you choose each time) you'll be able to receive bluetooth connections.
To receive files over bluetooth, you'll need to open up your media area, click the blackberry button, and scroll down to "Receive using bluetooth". At that point, send the file using the other phone and enjoy!
