Question about GE Washing Machines
Water pours out the bottom of machine during the washing cycle.
GENERAL ELECTRIC MODEL WWA8350G WASHING MACHINE - -was hoping to get a parts diagram before I go inside to find what the problem was - -a new washer? or a new machine...?
Don't get rid of that machine. Those can last 30 years easily, and the stuff you get today cannot compare. You got a bad seal going from the basket to the outside tub. If left go, the motor eventually will short out. You will need to remove the adgitator first, by pulling up hard on it. Then grease the spline before you put it back. A 13mm metric socket (12 point) to take out the bolts holding down the basket. That rubber boot you will see in there is about 12" inches across at the bottom, and about 8" at the top, and looks like that funny hat Goober used to wear on Andy Griffith. The bottom band goes to the tub bottom, and the top goes up against the transmission. The clamps are reuseable, and the boot should be less than $30.00.
