Question about RCA F31672ET TV

1 Answer

RCA F31672et is not turning on sometimes/now green on screen

About 1 moth ago the TV went off by itself, then went right back on. A week later i started having to wiggle the cord in the back to get it to go on. Then i noticed the picture was getting fuzzy around the edges, and yesterday when i made it go on by wiggling, part of the screen turned green, like around the outer edges. I've been told by a few people to forget repair and buy a new one. Are they right?

Its your Tuner. There is a chance that since this has been going on so long that your IC that controls the Tuner could be shot. For a Geek this could be a semi easy fix. The parts for the most part are cheap. The problem is identifying what is what via the net. There is a chance that the IC isn't shot yet but you need to get out your solder gun and get to work by re-soldering your connections

Rear window wiper works for a few days or weeks

Check the plug is completely plugged into the motor. Maybe a bad connection in the motor itself. Also check the switch, try wiggling it when turning on.
