Iphone: problems deleting music

I've reviewed alot of threads with similar questions but I think mine is a bit different. I loaded music with itunes on one computer that broke and I sent it back to the manufacture and they sent a replacement. My problem is that itunes will not sync up with songs loaded on iphone with different pc. I also tried to delete from the iphone itself without success. I would appreciate it if you can help me out. Thanks, Flodaddy

Re: iphone: problems deleting music

N itunes, on the top menu bar, where (File & Edit) Reside you should see store amongst the options. Click that, then on the drop down menu click authorize computer, enter your apple id. After that see if you can use the option "Transfer purchaces from iphone to itunes". After that is done look on your music library list in itunes, uncheck the songs that are in there (the ones from your iphone should be if synced properly). Now select you iphone from the device list. Next to the summary tab on main itunes screen you should see info next to that. Amongst those tabs locate Music. Click it and make sure Sync selected songs is checked, then in the bottom right corner click Apply. This process should "de-sync" your music. I hope this info helps.

I have a problem to download music.

As with much to do with the iPhone, there's a bit of a trick to getting this working smoothly so you can have control over your iPhone music, while keeping it as darn easy to work with as possible. The answer? Create a custom playlist for your iPhone music library.
Let me show you how to do it - it's pretty darn easy.
Pop into iTunes and choose File --> New Playlist. Now rename it to something logical: I use "iPhone Sync":

Now you can just drag and drop music from your iTunes library (in iTunes, needless to say) into this new playlist. When you're ready, you'll see a bunch of music happily ensconced in the playlist (remember, it's all just "pointers": the actual music files are still safely in the main music library, so if you delete something from a playlist , you haven't deleted the original music file itself):

At the bottom of the iTunes window it shows you how many songs are in the playlist, along with the size and total playing time.
At this point, you need to plug in your iPhone if you haven't already done so. It'll pop up the usual summary screen:

Now click on the "Music" tab and you'll see that you can select "sync playlist". Do that, then select the new iPhone sync playlist you've created

Set things up and that's all there is to it. Now click "Sync" in iTunes and it'll synchronize your playlist with the iPhone music library and next time you click on that ole' "iPod" button on the iPhone, your selections from you music library will be present.
Oh, and one really nice feature of creating this playlist is that you can manage it, adding and deleting songs to your heart's desire, even without your iPhone present. Whatever changes you make are instantly applied to your iPhone music library the very next time you synchronize the device. Suddenly even 8GB might feel small. :-)

How to add Songs on iPhone without a PC & iTunes

One of the few things that disappoint me about the iPad is that Apple's flagship tablet is still, to some extent, dependent on a nearby computer and an open window of iTunes or WinSCP. Bridge is a Cydia app which makes importing files to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch without a computer an easier affair. While there are many apps and tweaks that can get content on your phone, Bridge has a special feature which makes it worth the $1.99 asking price.

We've already covered a number of methods to download programs to an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch without using iTunes. Some of the free methods include OpenSSH (for secure wireless file transfers from a computer), iTransmission 2 (for torrents), and Safari Download Enabler (for downloading links and video files from the web). The problem is that while these apps and tweaks are more than capable of loading music on to your phone, they don't add the files to the Music app. This means you can't make playlists with the songs you've just loaded onto your phone.
That's where Bridge comes in. With Bridge, you can locate the files you've downloaded to your device and properly import them into your library. You can use this to load Songs, Ringtones, and Podcasts for audio files, set album artwork from your photo roll, and also import movies.

Applying album art to an imported song in Bridge
The only downside is the music won't be transferred back to your computer by syncing through iTunes. That's not a limitation of the app, but a limitation in iTunes. It wasn't built to transfer user-loaded music to your computer from an iPod. If you ever need to import music to your computer, you can use SSH to copy the music over. The files should be stored in 'var/mobile/media/music'.
Bridge can be found in the BigBoss repository on Cydia. Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

you should be able to go into itunes and delete the songs, then sync your iphone again. If that doesn't help then I would go into the apple store and see why not. you can also just call apple for support for free if you are an at&t subscriber good luck

IPhone to iTunes

Unfortunately, itunes will not let you sync from different computers that have different operating systems, and this is most likely your problem. You can go back to the orignal computer that you first synced from and do the manually manage music, and it will work then.

How to put music on your iphone without using itunes

I would also like to use the iPhone without iTunes.
iTunes is one of the worst programs i' ve ever tried. It´s slow, big and way to complex. It feels like a mac ( totally unnecessary..:-)
I tried it when i bought my iPod Shuffle. Luckily i found a little program, that could do the job without iTunes.
I want my computer to find the iPhone as an USB disk and just copy paste the music.
